The Provo Utah Rock Canyon Temple will be built on a 17-acre site, larger than its predecessor, which occupied just 15 acres. This expansion results from removing the road at the old location, allowing for a more spacious environment. The completed design will encompass 163,000 square feet and will rise to an impressive height of 265 feet 6 inches, showcasing a single attached central spire. Interestingly, this new Temple will not feature a gold-leafed Angel Moroni; the previous angel statue is currently in storage.

Construction officially began on February 24, 2024, with the project projected to be completed by late 2027. A rendering of the Temple was released to the public on November 24, 2021, providing a glimpse into what to expect. Additionally, the landscaping is undergoing significant upgrades; trees have been planted around the perimeter, and sod has been recently laid down. Improvements also include waterscapes that enhance the Temple's aesthetic.
Sitting at an elevation of approximately 4,876 feet (1,486 meters) above sea level, the Provo Utah Rock Canyon Temple promises to be a sight to behold. The exterior will be adorned with granite, adding to its elegant and enduring presence.
