Good morning church ☀️! I hope and pray that you are well 🙏❤️. Mrs. Mildred is doing better and things are looking up. Mr. Thomas called and gave an update. I will not be at the office today. I had to have a tooth pulled Monday afternoon and have done well with the pain and discomfort until this morning. It's extremely painful and I have taken some pain meds and I will be at the house. If I am needed please call and leave a message if I don't answer. Thanks so much ❤️🙏🤗!

Good evening church! I returned home from SC around 6:30pm and was pleasently surprised to see that the lawn has been mowed. A huge Thanks to the lovely soul that did such a great deed. I'm truly thankful!
God's many blessings to one and all!

Happy Mother’s Day from Shady Grove UMC. Our morning began at 10:00 with Sunday School. Patricia Moshenek lead our lesson with the title “Faithful Stewardship”.

Worship began at 11:00 with a Call to Worship titled “A Mother’s Day “Litany”. Our United Methodist Men then recognized all of the women in our church by giving each of us a beautiful red rose.
Mr. David Horne read Psalm 23 for our Psalter Reading and Pastor Melinda read Acts 9:36-43 before sharing her message “What Would Jesus Say?”
We remembered many on our Prayer List and those affected by the weather. Our church lost a huge limb off a tree, but some hard working members cleared the area so our church service was not affected.

Food Pantry tomorrow 4-6:00pm.
Office Hours 10-Noon Tues. and Wed.
No Choir Practice this week
Sunday, May 29th; Sunday Sing with “Right
Turn Ministries” from Rocky Mount,NC. A love offering will be received.

Good morning everyone! We have a very large limb down in the church yard. Anyone that can help, please come on out and help. Andy Lofts and others will be working to get a path clear so we can get in and out tomorrow. We have power at the church but there is a live power line on the ground from the outside security light. Duke Energy has been notified and a work order placed. It's out of the way of the limb so come on out and help if you can.

What a beautiful day to celebrate The Lord’s Supper! The morning began with a delicious breakfast prepared by our Methodist Men and ended sharing Holy Communion. Our choir sang “Once Again”, Laverne Loftis read Psalm 30 for our Psalter Reading, and Pastor Melinda shared a message entitled “Follow Me”. Andy Loftis helped Pastor Melinda serve communion. We are so blessed to have members who share their talents with others. A special “thank you” always to our pianist and music director, Rhonda Hollie.
I personally was thankful to have my granddaughters join us today. It is always a blessing to see children happy to be in church!!
