The Mediator Fellowship

The Mediator Fellowship Our unorthodox mission- that we continue to be a supportive influence on the neighborhood, the city, the state, and musicians and artists of all kinds.

The newly renovated Mediator Fellowship Stage and Hall is there and ready for you! I've been told that the hall which is the home of the Mediator Fellowship (the 2nd oldest Universalist Church in the state) was built by the Gorham Silver Company, who purchased the surrounding farmland from the Knight family in 1859. When Gorham first opened and started hiring, they figured it would be a good thing

to have a place for the immigrants to worship. Since they weren't sure what these new people believed in, they built the hall to look kind of generically denominational. Over the years it has been a Congregational Church, a Baptist Church, and vacant for a period. The Mediator Fellowship bought the building in the mid- seventies, after their original location on Elmwood Ave burnt down. They were also temporarily located on Wickenden Street before they moved to their current location on 50 Rounds Avenue. If anyone knows anything else about this historic structure, feel free to message me with the information.
