We believe that Christ brings His grace to us in His Word, Holy Baptism and through Holy Communion.

Hi Everyone. With bittersweet emotions, I will be retiring as Pastor for Messiah at the end of February. It has been a blessing to both Fran and me to be part of and serve the wonderful people of Messiha, the Prosser comunity and Calvary in Sunnyside. As such, the Church is now transitioning to a new Pastor as they start the process of "calling" a Pastor to take my place and be the Shepherd at Messiah and Calvary. Please pray that God will bless this effort.

Fran and I plan to travel and have some fun with family and friends. My new role will be as an Emritis (retired) Pastor for both Calvary and Messiah congregations as a member and a resource for the new pastor once he has been called.

'Tis the season. We would like to invite you to the Messiah Christmas Eve service on December 24th, starting at 7:00 pm. Come and join us as we celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus.

WRAPPED PRESENTS

Our decorations for Christmas include colorfully wrapped boxes and bags placed under the Christmas tree. But these gifts all pale in comparison to the gift of God’s Son, whose birth brings us the new birth of the Spirit and the inheritance of eternal life. On Christmas, we consider how the gifts under the tree point us to God’s indescribable gift in Jesus Christ, the eternal Son who comes “wrapped” in the same flesh and blood His brothers and sisters share: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16, emphasis added); “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given” (Isaiah 9:6, emphasis added).

Hi everyone. On Sunday, October 12th, we will have a joint service with Calvary, hosted at Messiah Lutheran in Prosser, WA. The worship service will start at 10:00 a.m., followed by a potluck lunch. During lunch, we will share with you the mission work of Lutheran Hour Ministries and what LHM provides to the Church, and also to individual members, and how we can support them. Please come and join us for worship and lunch.

Hi Everyone

This is the service schedule for Lent and Easter for Messiah Church. We will be hosting our mid-week Lent services starting at 12:00 PM. A light lunch will be provided prior to each of the Lent services starting at 11:15 PM. We will also be rotating the mid-week services between Messiah and Calvary Lutheran in Sunnyside WA.

Overview of the Sermon Series for Advent and Christmas;

During the season of Advent, we prepare to celebrate the birth of God’s Son, who was given the name Jesus—a Hebrew name that means “God saves.” In addition to His earthly name, Holy Scripture calls Jesus by various titles which describe something about His person or work. In this year’s Advent series, we are going to examine four titles given to Jesus in Isaiah 9:6. Those titles are “Wonderful Counselor,” “Mighty God,” “Everlasting Father,” and “Prince of Peace.” We will learn how each of these titles describes something about who Jesus is and what He did for our salvation.

This is not uncommon based on the context of the material I post and the message I preach that is contrary to the ideals and wants of Meta the Facebook Platform. This effort has been coined "shadow banning". This banning has occurred to other "Christian organizations."
