Hi Everyone. With bittersweet emotions, I will be retiring as Pastor for Messiah at the end of February. It has been a blessing to both Fran and me to be part of and serve the wonderful people of Messiha, the Prosser comunity and Calvary in Sunnyside. As such, the Church is now transitioning to a new Pastor as they start the process of "calling" a Pastor to take my place and be the Shepherd at Messiah and Calvary. Please pray that God will bless this effort.

Fran and I plan to travel and have some fun with family and friends. My new role will be as an Emritis (retired) Pastor for both Calvary and Messiah congregations as a member and a resource for the new pastor once he has been called.

'Tis the season. We would like to invite you to the Messiah Christmas Eve service on December 24th, starting at 7:00 pm. Come and join us as we celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus.

WRAPPED PRESENTS

Our decorations for Christmas include colorfully wrapped boxes and bags placed under the Christmas tree. But these gifts all pale in comparison to the gift of God’s Son, whose birth brings us the new birth of the Spirit and the inheritance of eternal life. On Christmas, we consider how the gifts under the tree point us to God’s indescribable gift in Jesus Christ, the eternal Son who comes “wrapped” in the same flesh and blood His brothers and sisters share: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16, emphasis added); “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given” (Isaiah 9:6, emphasis added).
