As we close out 2025, many of us are carrying quiet disappointments, unspoken frustrations, and expectations we didn’t even realize we were holding.
There’s a saying:
✨ “Expectations are premeditated resentments.” ✨
Expectations are often invisible and unspoken contracts we place on others—and even on ourselves.
Be different.
Heal faster.
Show up better.
When those expectations go unmet, disappointment turns into frustration… and frustration slowly hardens into judgment that leads to resentment.
What we resist or try to control tends to persist. Pressure collapses possibility rather than expanding it.
Love, safety, and transformation require openness, not force.
Jesus invites us into a different way.
Jesus never required change to earn belonging.
He never pressured people into transformation.
He led with love, acceptance, and relationship—and from that place, lives were changed.
As we step into 2026, what if we left expectations behind?
Not lowering standards.
Not abandoning boundaries.
But releasing control.
Expectation says:
➡️ “You need to change so I can have peace.”
Jesus says:
➡️ “Abide in Me—and let Me be your peace.”
This year, we choose to enter 2026 with:
🤍 Open hearts
🤍 Present-moment love
🤍 Freedom from judgement
🤍 Trust in the finished work of Christ
We release the weight we’ve placed on others.
We release the pressure we’ve placed on ourselves.
We receive the invitation of Jesus—to walk in love, safety, and rest.
2026 isn’t about striving harder.
It’s about loving deeper. Trusting, resting and living free.
