At the beginning of a new school year, we would like to pray for our students, teachers, and parents! We at St. John wish you all an amazing school year!
Dear gracious and loving Father,
We come before You today to pray for our children and the start of a new school year. We humbly ask that You watch over our little ones and our youth. Surround them with Your love, protection, and guidance as they begin another year of learning and growth.
Give them courage when they feel afraid, patience when things become difficult, and wisdom to make good choices. Help them to be kind to one another, to respect their teachers and classmates, and to always remember that they are loved and valued.
Lord, protect them as they travel to and from school. Keep them safe from accidents, harm, bullying, and anything that may threaten their peace or well-being. Place caring teachers, staff, and friends in their lives who will encourage them, support them, and help them become the best versions of themselves.
Give our teachers strength, patience, and compassion. Bless school administrators and everyone who works to create a safe and nurturing environment for our children. And give parents and guardians wisdom as we guide, encourage, and support our children throughout this school year.
Father, when our children face challenges, remind them that they are never alone. Help them to trust You, believe in themselves, and never be afraid to ask for help. May this school year be filled with new friendships, meaningful lessons, joyful memories, and opportunities to grow.
We place our children into Your loving hands, trusting that You will guide their steps, protect their hearts, and watch over them each day.
In Your precious and holy name, we pray. Amen.
