LIFE CHANGING WORDS

Jeremiah 15:16, says,
Your words were found, and I ate them,
And Your word was to me the joy and
rejoicing of my heart.

If you were to receive something special
from someone famous,
you would probably save it as a keepsake.
How much more precious is a message
from Our almighty God!

A proven fact for most of us if not all of us is that
sometimes we find ourselves in circumstances that are beyond our control.

Like an accident that wasn’t our fault or
a warning that a tornado is approaching or
the news of a love one's passing.

This was the case for Mary and Martha as they were grieving the death of their brother Lazarus.

It is at these times that a word from Jesus can bring much rejoicing.
Other times when Jesus speaks,
His words bring correction.

“Get behind Me, Satan! and “O you of little faith”
do not seem to bring joy.
Yet Jeremiah said that God’s word
brought him joy.

It is overwhelming to consider that our Holy and
Almighty God would speak directly to us!
The truth is,
It is a privilege that He would care enough to challenge our destructive thoughts or practices.

No matter whether His words are praising us or correcting us, you and I ought to consider it joy,
to receive life-changing words from our caring and loving Father!

Every time we prepare to worship the Lord,
we ought to do so with anticipation
that our almighty God may have something to say to us.

Whenever we open our Bibles and our Sunday school lesson or do our morning devotion and
say our prayers.
we should expect that God has something
to tell us in our time with Him.

Here it is!
We ought to be far more concerned with
what God will say to us during our prayer times
than with what we intend to tell Him.

When we receive a word from our Lord,
whether it be of praise or of correction,
consider it joy that ur almighty God would speak to us.

Amen and Amen!
God Bless you!

From The Pastor’s Desk;

The Bible strongly encourages wise, diligent, and prayerful planning.
However, it equally warns against prideful self-sufficiency.

Scriptures teach that while humans should make strategic goals,
we must always submit those plans to God’s
overarching will.

1.Planning is Wise and Diligent

Preparation:
The Bible commends preparing for the future and
acting with foresight.

For example, Proverbs 6:6-8 highlights the ant,
which gathers food in the summer to prepare for the winter.

Counting the Cost: In Luke 14:28,
Jesus uses a practical analogy of building a tower,
noting that a wise person sits down first
to "estimate the cost"
to ensure they can finish it.

Hard Work:
The Proverbs 21:5 passage teaches that:
“The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance,
but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty".

2. Seek Counsel

Collaboration:
You are encouraged to seek the advice of others.

Proverbs 15:22 advises:
"Plans fail for lack of counsel,
but with many advisers they succeed".

3. Submit to God’s Sovereignty

Divine Direction:
While we make the effort to plan,
the ultimate outcome is in God's hands.

Proverbs 16:9 summarizes this perfectly:
"In their hearts humans plan their course,
but the Lord establishes their steps".

Commitment:
Proverbs 16:3 encourages believers to
"Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans
will be established".

Humility over Pridefulness:
James 4:13-15 warns against
making strict, prideful plans without acknowledging God.

It instructs believers to instead say,
"If it is the Lord's will,
we will live and do this or that."

Amen and God Bless you all.
