Nassau Presbyterian Church

Nassau Presbyterian Church Nassau Presbyterian Church, a dynamic congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA), exists to worship, know, and serve God through Jesus Christ.

We come together — many ages, many gifts — to glorify God through vibrant worship, renew our minds through faith-shaping learning, and use our individual and collective gifts to seek God's justice in this world as disciples of Jesus Christ. God sustains our ministries in education, music and arts, outreach, and fellowship. All that we do together challenges us to act in ways that bring our Lord's transforming word to our community and the world.

Trinity Sunday ✨

“Holy God – merciful, mighty, perfect in power and in love and in purity, we worship you.
Christ among us – foundation, cornerstone, redeeming grace, humble servant, Lord of all, we worship you.
Holy Spirit – inspiration, counsellor, helper, comforter, guide, we worship you.”

On Trinity Sunday, we celebrate the mystery and wonder of God — Creator, Christ, and Holy Spirit — present beyond us, beside us, and within us.

In a world that longs for hope, peace, justice, and healing, we hold fast to Christ’s promise: “Always.”

Pentecost Sunday 🔥🕊️

“Come Holy Spirit….fall afresh on us, rest on us…”

Today the Church celebrates Pentecost — the rushing wind, the tongues of fire, and the Spirit poured out upon the people of God.

In worship, we prayed:

“Inspire us to be the church, and do what the church does, so that your light may shine in and through us…”

May the Holy Spirit renew our hearts, strengthen the Church, and inspire us toward lives of justice, mercy, generosity, and hope.

Confirmation Sunday ✨

This Sunday, Nassau Church celebrated Confirmation Sunday as thirteen young people affirmed their faith and took their place more deeply within the life of the church. We also celebrated the baptisms of Bree and Isabel, giving thanks for the promises of God claimed anew among us.

In worship, we prayed:

“As we celebrate the life of discipleship today and affirming our faith, when that faith walk feels more like a slog, when our faith feels weak and our hearts are heavy especially then, you draw near to us O Christ, you are with us, you are for us.”

We give thanks for our confirmands, their families, and the leaders who have walked beside them in faith, conversation, laughter, service, and prayer.

On Wednesday, May 13, the Nassau Church community gathered at The Farminary for an evening of worship, learning, and breaking bread together. The Farminary is one of Nassau’s mission partners, and we were blessed to learn from Princeton Theological Seminary professor Nate Stuckey about the life and work of this sacred space where food is grown, creation is honored, and minds and souls are renewed. We were further blessed to be led in music and worship by our children! As the season turns towards summer, we give thanks for the mission of the Farminary and all the hands that work and learn on its soil.
