The past several Fridays we have done spotlights, honoring some amazing people at our church amazing volunteers that make this church happen and function and we are grateful and blessed!

But today is day we need to reflect on and see how far God has brought us through! Every trial, every worry, every fear God has brought us through it all! The victory starts with Jesus and ends with Jesus!

So today reflect, be grateful, stay humble and celebrate the victory Jesus has proclaimed over our lives!

Our God is in control!

It’s Wednesday night and that means midweek services happening at Oakland Community Church! Dinner at 6:30 spaghetti is on the dinner menu, with salad and bread along with the best desserts you’ve ever had! 😋

🔥 WHAT A POWERFUL SUNDAY AT OAKLAND COMMUNITY CHURCH! 🔥

Yesterday’s service was truly something special! 🙌

We started the morning the right way as worship moved our hearts and prepared us for what God had for us. There was something powerful about lifting our voices together and turning our focus toward Him! 🙏🔥

Then we dove into Ephesians 4:1-10, and what a reminder it was! We learned that unity goes far beyond numbers—it’s about WHO we are connected to! We are called to walk together, grow together, serve together, and stay connected to Christ and to one another. 🤝✝️

Church, we are better together! There is power when God’s people come together in unity! 🔥

🏹And our OCC Youth met up last night not only enjoyed walking tacos, intense, volleyball games they jumped into a series on learning where our identity is called to and where it is found! We believe in the next generation rising, and the Lord is working!

We love our OCC family, and we can’t wait to see what God continues to do!

💡Friday Spotlight💡

Today’s Spotlight we want to recognize Rodney and Lari Thornton!

We love this couple at OCC! They serve very faithfully at our church and are blessed to have them. Lari is one of our deacons, she has a heart for people and for the kingdom and every decision that is made she makes for the greater good for others and for God, she also helps out cooking the main meats on Wednesday night dinners and she throws it down in the kitchen! She also serves faithfully in our kids ministry and she is a joy to have at OCC!

Rodney is a man after Gods heart! When you see Lari you see Rodney, he helps wherever needed at the church at anyway needed! From sermon illustrations with Pastor Jonathan (not always known until called on lol) helping with maintenance around the church, helping bring new ideas to OCC and he is always fun to be around and talk with!

We are grateful for y’all and are blessed to have y’all at OCC! Thank you for representing Jesus daily!

Some of our OCC ladies went out to Princeton Church and had a ladies night and a night of worship! What a great time of fun, food, fellowship and praising Jesus with your ladies! Thankful for our some of our OCC ladies growing and loving! Representing Oakland Community Church 🙌🙌
