What a POWERFUL Sunday at Oakland Community Church! 🙌

Part 3 of our series “Don’t Take the Bait” The Bait of Doubt, hit right on time! We walked through Luke chapter 24 and saw that even in the very presence of Jesus, the disciples struggled with doubt. What an encouragement to know that if they battled doubt, we are not alone in ours.

But here’s the good news: Jesus always shows up at the right time. In our deepest doubts, darkest moments, and hardest questions, He still appears, speaks peace, and reminds us who He is.

🇺🇸 Memorial Day – We Remember 🇺🇸

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Memorial Day is more than a long weekend, it is a day of gratitude, reflection, and remembrance.

At Oakland Community Church, we are thankful for those who courageously served and laid down their lives so that we may enjoy the freedoms we have today. We pray for the families who carry the weight of loss and honor the legacy of every hero who never made it home.

As we gather with family and friends today, may we never forget the cost of freedom.

Dinner starts at 6:30 PM followed by Bible study as we dive into Psalm 23, breaking down this powerful chapter and discovering the deeper context behind one of the most loved passages in Scripture.

Before we jump into our new study, “Don’t Let the Enemy Have a Seat at Your Table,” we’re taking time to unpack what it really means for the Lord to be our Shepherd and prepare a table before us. 🙌

This is the next generation of leaders coming up, let’s serve them by loving them like Jesus, building a relationship with them and be apart of what God is doing here! What a powerful Sunday at Oakland Community Church! 🙌

We kicked off Part One of our new series, “Don’t Take the Bait” and what a start it was! The worship was so good and you could truly feel God moving in the house. 🎶🔥

The message hit right on time and challenged us to recognize the traps and distractions the enemy tries to use to pull us away from God’s purpose. This series is already off to an incredible start, and we can’t wait for what God is going to do in the weeks ahead!

If you missed this Sunday, make plans to be with us next week, you don’t want to miss what’s coming next in “Don’t Take the Bait!”

Happy Thursday OCC Church Family!

Last night’s Family Game Night was so much fun, but are so excited for our Wednesday Night Bible Study to start back up next week, and we would love for you to be a part of our Wednesday night community each week!

Every Wednesday night we gather together for food, fellowship, and time in God’s Word — and it is always such a special time together.

Starting this Wednesday, we will begin a church-wide study on Don’t Give the Enemy a Seat at the Table — and it is SO good! We truly believe this study is going to encourage, challenge, and strengthen our church family.
