Happy birthday to our fearless leader, Pastor Jonathan Hicks! 🎉

You never know what illustration might be coming next when you listen to Pastor Jonathan preach—but you can be sure it’ll be one we remember! Your illustrations make us laugh, think, and see God’s Word in a fresh way. We’re so thankful for the heart, passion, and faithfulness you bring to leading your flock.

Thank you for loving our church family, encouraging us in our walk with Jesus, and always pointing us back to Him. We’re grateful for the way you serve and lead, and we’re so proud of you.

We love you and hope you have the happiest birthday! 🎉

🙌🔥 SUNDAY RECAP | OAKLAND COMMUNITY CHURCH 🔥🙌

What a powerful reminder we received this Sunday from Luke 15:4-7! 🐑

Jesus reminds us that He is willing and WANTING to leave the 99 to go after the one! No matter how far we’ve wandered, how lost we feel, or what we’re walking through, Jesus still comes looking for us! You are never too far gone, never forgotten, and never out of His reach! THANK YOU, JESUS, for loving us like that!

Worship was RIGHT ON POINT! 🙌 It touched our hearts on every level and reminded us just how good, faithful, and loving our Savior truly is! There is nothing like being in the presence of Jesus with your church family! 🔥

We also had the privilege of celebrating Pastor Jonathan for Pastor Appreciation Month! We are so thankful for a pastor who pours into our church family, leads with a heart for God, and continues to point people toward Jesus. Pastor Jonathan, we appreciate you more than words can say! Thank you for your faithfulness and your heart for Oakland Community Church!

We are blessed to be part of what God is doing at OCC! We love our pastor, we love our church family, and most of all, we love our Savior! ❤️🙌

If you’ve ever been the one, just know that THE SHEPHERD HASN’T FORGOTTEN YOU! 🐑❤️

This week at OCC we spotted an airplane flying really low—and look what it had to say! ✈️

Okay, maybe it was just a paper airplane—but it’s your personal invitation to join us at Oakland Community Church this Sunday for a time of worship and the Word! Jesus is the pilot, and Pastor Jonathan is the co-pilot! 🙌

Bring a friend, and come worship with us!

🔥 SUNDAY RECAP | WHAT A POWERFUL SUNDAY! 🔥

What a GREAT and POWERFUL Sunday we had at Oakland Community Church! 🙌🔥

From the very beginning, worship led our hearts straight into the throne room of our Savior! We lifted our voices, opened our hearts, and made room for God to move. ❤️‍🔥

Then came a powerful word from Matthew 21:12–17! We learned about Jesus entering the temple and flipping the tables—but the question for us was:
👉 What tables does Jesus want to flip in YOUR life?

There may be things that have held ground in our lives for far too long. Things we’ve allowed to stay, things that have become comfortable, or things that have stood in the way of what God wants to do.
But here’s the good news: Jesus has the ultimate say! 🙌 He can flip the tables, tear down what needs to come down, and make a way for VICTORY in our lives! 🔥

And we’re not done! We also announced our OCC Fall Festival! 🍂🎃
📅 October 25th
⏰ 4:00–6:00 PM
📍 Oakland Community Church
