Why do members come to Witherspoon?

Being in a community of other young Christians my age.

The Young Adult Ministry at Witherspoon Street Presbyterian Church is excited to launch a Monthly Council designed to keep our Junior Usher alumni and youth connected, supported, and engaged—wherever they are. This initiative creates space for fellowship, mentorship, and continued spiritual growth beyond the local church.

Have you been casting your nets but coming up empty? This message reminds us that the difference between emptiness and overflow isn't more effort—it's alignment with Christ.

Just like the disciples in John 21, sometimes we work all night and catch nothing. But when Jesus shows up and says "cast your net on the right side," everything changes. Same water, same boat, same nets—but a different voice to obey. That's where the miracle happens.

God is ready to bless you at the level you're willing to proceed. Stop waiting for God to move. He's waiting for YOU to cast that net in faith. This is your moment to trust Him and watch Him fill your life to overflowing.

Ever feel like you're working hard but coming up empty? The disciples fished all night and caught nothing—until Jesus showed up and said, "Cast your net on the right side."

Same water. Same boat. Same nets. The only difference? The voice they obeyed.

God is ready to fill your nets, but first you need to cast them where He directs. The difference between emptiness and overflow isn't effort—it's alignment.
