Hi Everyone -
Please pass the word on to anyone who does not read email or is not on this email list.
Mass Saturday night and Sunday morning at St. Mark has been canceled.

Fr. Brad will say Mass at 10am Sunday at St. Paul but wants everyone to know there is no obligation to attend Mass in person this weekend. If it is safe to get to St. Paul at 10am he will be there. I am not sure what condition the parking lot will be in. There are a number of services available on facebook (St. Pius X maybe), on YouTube and on some of the TV channels.

Stay warm and safe,
Kathy Talley

Let us pray for and celebrate Fr. Jojy Joseph on the 14th anniversary of his ordination.

O Jesus, our great High Priest, Hear my humble prayers on behalf of your priest, Father Jojy. Give him a deep faith, a bright and firm hope and a burning love which will ever increase in the course of his priestly life.
In his loneliness, comfort him In his sorrows, strengthen him In his frustrations, point out to him that it is through suffering that the soul is purified, and show him that he is needed by the Church, he is needed by souls, he is needed for the work of redemption.
O loving Mother Mary, Mother of Priests, take to your heart your son who is close to you because of his priestly ordination, and because of the power which he has received to carry on the work of Christ in a world which needs him so much.
Be his comfort, be his joy, be his strength, and especially help him to live and to defend the ideals of consecrated celibacy.
Amen.

ST. MARK (Eddyville) AND ST. PAUL (Princeton)
Announce a Parish Mission Experience
The faith communities of St. Mark (Eddyville) and St. Paul (Princeton), will celebrate a four-day Parish Mission experience from Sunday March 13th until Wednesday March 16th. The principal powerful message of the Mission will take place each evening in the parish church at 6:30pm.
The Preacher for the Mission will be Fr. John Mark Ettensohn, a member of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate. Fr. John Mark has given parish missions or retreats in 22 states and Canada.
The Missionary Oblates are a religious community of priests and brothers founded in 1816 by St. Eugene DeMazenod, who later became Bishop of Marseilles, France. The principal focus of their ministry is to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the poor, in every sense of that word. Today some 3,000 members carry on their mission in 68 countries and on every continent.
The theme of the Parish Mission will be:
"No Ifs, Ands, or Buts, God is with us
Now What?”
What does God’s presence with us really mean for us, especially during this time of pandemic? What is its purpose? How are we to respond? How might the Mystery of this presence unfold in the routine of our daily lives? Why does it seem like God is so distant, especially when there is a critical need? In all of this is it okay just to be me when what is at stake is eternity?
All interested persons are invited to attend this Parish Mission
March 13 @ St. Mark: “Coming to know who God really is!”
What images of God can we glean from Scripture, and how do they affect our own images (both good and bad) of God?
What does it mean for us to “fear” God?
How on earth can we know who God really is?
March 14 @ St. Paul: “The Suffering and Death of Jesus on the Cross”
In answer to the question posed by a favorite hymn, we “Weren’t There” when Jesus died on the cross. What then do we really know and believe about his suffering and death, and how does it make a major difference in our lives?
March 15 @ St. Mark: “God Never Stops
Loving Us”
**(Sacrament of Reconciliation Evening)
How can Christ’s light pe*****te the darkness of sin, sorrow, and death for us? What does it mean to be “wounded” by sin?
Why then do we call sin “necessary” and “a happy fault”?
Does sin ever remove us from God’s love?
March 16 @ St. Paul: “Dear Lord, Bring us to Life!”
Why do Faith, Hope, and Love give meaning to life and make life worth living?
How is Faith deeper than rules, Hope more than wishful thinking, and Love stronger than feelings that come and go? Can God’s true life come through us?
