HE HAD 14 STITCHES… BUT STILL SHOWED UP TO HELP STRANGERS. ❤️
At 95 years old, former U.S. President Jimmy Carter suffered a serious fall that left him needing 14 stitches.
The next day, instead of staying home to recover, he put on his work clothes, grabbed his tools, and showed up for the annual Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project with Habitat for Humanity. 🛠️❤️
Carter had already battled brain cancer, survived a broken hip, and faced numerous health challenges.
But he kept showing up.
Alongside hundreds of volunteers, he continued helping build homes for families in need — a tradition he and Rosalynn had supported for decades. 🏠
He didn’t need to prove anything.
He simply believed that if you still have the ability to help someone, you should.
At 95, with stitches still fresh on his head, Jimmy Carter reminded the world that service doesn’t have an expiration date.
Age may slow you down.
It doesn’t have to stop you from doing good. ❤️🇺🇸
