Only when Jesus Christ becomes first and our commitment to Him is the most important element in our life; then and only then will our foundation be strong enough to develop the right character that leads to right behavior which is appropriate for both time and eternity.

Even though we live in this great country, that we call the United States of America, as Christians, as children of God our highest allegiance is not to an earthly nation but to the Kingdom of Heaven, and we must live out our identity as citizens of heaven with purpose, integrity, and hope.

As we are approaching the 250th birthday of this nation, this United States of America, I hope and pray that all of us here today are fully aware of how blessed we truly are to be citizens of this great nation. This is not just a chance to light fireworks but it’s also Our Chance To Praise God for allowing us to live in such a great country.
