Trinity Christian Center began as a dream of the late Rev. Arville L. Patton and his wife Evelyn. Originally from Texas, the Patton’s came to Price and served first as the pastors of a local Assemblies of God in Price. After his tenure with the Assemblies of God, Pastor Patton planted Trinity Christian Center on June 3, 1984 as an independent spirit filled church.
Meeting in various locations in Price in its beginnings, Trinity Christian Center began serving the people of our community and by the grace of God the church soon began to grow. Within a couple of years, the church was able to purchase its current location at 925 E. Main Street and it was then that the real work began. Taking the then Volkswagen Dealership known as “Scarty’s”, the church body at Trinity Christian Center under the leadership of Rev. Patton transformed the grease filled car repair and sales shop into a formal place of worship. All for the glory of God!
Over the next 30 years Rev. Patton along with many others would pour their lives into the ministry at Trinity Christian Center and because of it they would see eternal impact in the hearts and lives of Carbon County. Rev. Patton served faithfully in the pastorate at Trinity Christian Center until his retirement in 2014. Under his leadership Trinity Christian Center went from a small church plant to an integral piece and pillar of the faith community in Price.
In August of 2014, Pastor David I. Alvarez was appointed as the Lead Pastor of Trinity Christian Center. In his first year as pastSor, Trinity underwent a large remodel project and reestablished itself as a presence in the faith community of Carbon County. In the 5 years since, we at Trinity Christian Center have seen God breathe new life into the family here at Trinity.
