Bishop David Wilson has issued the following remarks in the aftermath of a U.S. bombing mission in Iran:

Chief Powhatan once said to those who wished to take them and their land by force, after much care was given to these first immigrants — "Why should you take by force from us, that which you can obtain with love. ... What can you get by war?"

I share these words as this country has now bombed targets within Iran. I ask that you join me in daily prayer for those who have lost lives already and those yet to come. I pray for those who will be sent to war and for families left behind. I pray that we will always be people who pray for peace and opt for love and relationships.

Romans 12:18 says, “If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all."
