A winter storm is slated to impact the area come the weekend, most of central/south central and eastern kansas look to be the likely areas to be impacted

Some things to know

What - mix of freezing drizzle, freezing rain, sleet and snow is expected. Impactful snow, sleet, and ice accumulations are likely. In addition, very strong north winds could cause significant blowing and drifting snow along with very low visibilities

When - beginning Saturday morning through Saturday night: mainly sleet and ice.
Late Saturday night through Sunday: changing to mainly snow, blizzard conditions are also possible..

Actions- please continue to monitor the forecast for updates, prepare winter car kits, and consider alternate plans if planning on traveling this weekend
