We see a place that so in love with Christ that it sets aside man made division & distractions.

We see a place that welcomes everyone, no matter their past. We see a place of healing, for both physical & emotional problems. We see a place of love where the hurting, the depressed, the confused & the frustrated can find shelter. We see a place where we measure growth through discipleship & not numbers. We see a place where families can bring their children to learn about the bible. We see a pl

ace that baptizes many new believers often. We see a place that will boldly stand up for the weak. We see a place that helps our community feel Gods Church. We see a place that brokenness is fixed & families are made whole. We see a place that puts compassion for others over our own needs. We see a place that needs to expand because of our growing family. We see a place where we can grow old together. We see a place where style of worship will never be a division. We see a place where “Different” is the norm. We see a place that changes the image of the Church of God in our community, our state & eventually the world. Christ ~ Family ~ Community

In yesterday’s sermon, we explored Jesus’ Parable of the Sower from Matthew 13 and were challenged to consider the condition of our hearts. The seed, which represents the Word of God, is always good and full of life, but the fruit it produces depends on the soil where it falls. Some hearts become hardened by sin, disappointment, or pride. Others receive the Word with excitement but lack the deep roots needed to endure difficult seasons. Still others allow the worries of life and the pursuit of worldly things to crowd out God’s truth. Yet Jesus reminds us that a receptive heart can produce an abundant harvest for the Kingdom. The question is not whether God is still speaking. The question is whether we are cultivating hearts that are ready to receive, obey, and bear fruit from His Word.

In today’s sermon, we looked at the powerful words of Jesus in Matthew 12 and the truth that “something greater is here.” The Pharisees saw miracles, freedom, and the work of God right in front of them, yet still hardened their hearts. Meanwhile, Jesus reminded them that He was greater than Jonah, greater than Solomon, and stronger than every power of darkness.

One of the greatest challenges for the Church today is not simply removing sin or cleaning up appearances, but allowing Christ to truly fill our hearts and lives. An empty house is still vulnerable, but a life filled with the Spirit of God is transformed. May we be people who recognize the work of God, walk in mercy, speak life, and respond to Jesus with open hearts.

In this morning’s sermon, we looked at Jesus’ words in Matthew 12, “I desire mercy, not sacrifice.” The Pharisees were focused on rules, appearances, and religious performance, but Jesus continually focused on people. He fed the hungry, healed the broken, restored the weak, and reminded us that the heart of God is mercy.

Jesus showed us that true faith is not about empty religion, but about compassion, grace, and restoration. May we be people who reflect the mercy of Jesus in how we speak, how we love others, and how we respond to those who are hurting. “A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not s***f out.” Matthew 12:20 NIV
