"September shows us how beautiful it is to let things go." – Unknown
Are you ready to let go of that hurt, habit, or hang-up you’ve been holding on to…there’s no better time than now to take that first step, and there’s no better place than DCC’s Celebrate Recovery!
We are very eager for what this new month holds, and we look forward to the September 2026 schedule that will begin on Wednesday, September 2! We are ready for another inspiring month at CR, and we hope you are, too. Let’s take a peek at what’s happening in September:
Sept 2 Lesson 8 Moral—Lori
Sept 9 Lesson 9 Inventory—Joe
Sept 16 Testimony—Mandy
Sept 23 Lesson 10 Spiritual Inventory 1–Lori
Sept 30 Lesson 11 Spiritual Inventory 2–Jerry
DCC’s Celebrate Recovery meets each Wednesday at 6:00 pm. We have coffee, snacks, and fellowship starting around 5:45 pm. We then meet for our Large Group session in the church’s auditorium, where we will share in worship music, read through the 12-Steps or 8 CR Principles, share a lesson or testimony, have a time of response, then close with the Serenity Prayer. On the 3rd week of this month, we get to enjoy live music with the DCC CR Worship Band, we get to hear a personal testimony from Mandy, we will ‘break bread’ by having food together. We will also have CR Chip night as we celebrate where attendees are in their individual recovery journeys. Following the large group session each week, we break out into ladies’ and gentlemen’s small group open share. Everyone is welcome to share, but no one is pressured to do so.
Remember, Celebrate Recovery is for EVERYONE. While some attendees do battle chemical dependency, research shows this is typically only 1 in 3. Others attend because of family/life issues! Many do not realize Celebrate Recovery is for those who battle anxiety, co-dependency, enabling, gambling addiction, food addiction, grief, perfectionism, people pleasing, sexual addictions, shopping addiction, love and relationship issues…and the list goes on and on. Celebrate Recovery is for anyone who battles any hurt, habit, or hang-up. If you’re in recovery there’s a great chance those who love you are ‘in recovery’ for something, too…INVITE THEM TO ATTEND CR!
Would you like to learn more about Celebrate Recovery at DCC? Come hang out with us at 6 pm Wednesday, August 26 for a great lesson, Sponsor, presented by Frank. Then, start the ‘Ber’ months off with hope in a place you’ll be loved, welcomed, and in a judgment-free zone. We don’t come together in Celebrate Recovery to fix one another, we come together to support one another. Recovery isn’t meant to be done alone. We would love to see you, and walk beside you on your journey! ♥️
