There are seasons in marriage where you feel stuck, tired, weary and unsure what to do next.

Healing often starts when we come to the relationship with three things: vulnerability, honesty, and curiosity.

In this conversation with , Joey shared how transformation begins when we stop assuming we already know everything about our spouse, or even ourselves, and instead become curious again.

Curious about their heart.

Curious about what God may still want to reveal in us.

When we bring our full selves before God instead of a detached version of ourselves, we create space for Him to do the deeper work only He can do.

We pray this conversation encourages you to lean into honesty, surrender, and the kind of connection God desires for your marriage.

What’s so special about today?

Today is Ascension Day — the moment Christ rose beyond the clouds and took His place as King. But before He went, He told His disciples to “wait for the gift my Father promised” (Acts 1:4).

Then, in verse 11, when the angels found the disciples standing there staring up into the sky after He left, they said, “Why do you stand here looking into the sky?”

So what did they do? They went back to the upper room and gathered together “constantly in prayer” (v. 14).

We can imagine they reflected on all they had witnessed — remembering the miracles, the moments, the times He showed up in ways they never expected.

Let us do the same. Like Joshua and the Israelites (Joshua 4), let’s stack stones of remembrance. We’re serious. Let’s go outside and find some stones to stack today as a testimony to the times we’ve experienced His faithfulness, comfort, provision, presence, peace, and love. (This pic is our stack.)

So today, in celebration of the day He went before us, gather with a few others and pray for renewed faith, a fresh experience of Christ, and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. Then go find your stones. Assign a memory to each one. And stack them.

P.S. Share your stones of remembrance with us. Tag in your story along with our post.

One of the greatest gifts in marriage is learning how to truly see and hear one another again. That kind of connection takes honesty, intentionality, openness, and the willingness to do hard work together. This couple brought all of these!

“We can't imagine a single couple who would not benefit from this experience. The content is both universal and specific. Come honest and willing to be open and do hard work. The ability to really see and hear each other is a gift that is worth pursuing. You will come away more connected, with less baggage and a renewed hope for your marriage.”
— Andy & Kate, Oregon 🤍

Stories like theirs are exactly why 10|10 Ministries exist; to create space for couples to reconnect, heal, grow, and move forward together with deeper understanding and renewed purpose.

This quote by is SO GOOD— “When something finally starts moving after a long winter, the instinct is often to prove it. To grow it faster. To turn the small thaw into full spring as quickly as possible. But rushing fragile growth can place weight on something that hasn’t yet developed the roots to carry it.”

In a season of growth? Sense a new beginning? About to lead your ministry into new territory?

Not everything that looks worn is beyond restoration.

Over time, life has a way of layering things on—
stress, responsibility, miscommunication, distance. And before you know it, what once felt beautiful can start to feel tired… or even unrecognizable.

But what’s underneath is still there.

With the right space, care, and intentional work, restoration is possible.

You’re worth it. Your marriage is worth it. Your ministry is worth it. Let us pour into you.

Need help discerning where to take your ministry next? Maybe this parable in Luke 13:6-9 and these three questions will help.

“Leave it alone for one more year, and I’ll dig around it and fertilize it. If it bears fruit next year, fine! If not, then cut it down.” Luke 13:8-9

1. Where are you FORCING or RUSHING GROWTH in your ministry that requires more time and tending to grow naturally?

2. What is fruitless in your ministry because you HAVEN’T SUFFICIENTLY “FERTILIZED IT”?

3. What have you given plenty of time and energy to in your ministry that still isn’t growing, and you just need someone to say, “CUT IT DOWN”?
