Catholic Daughters court #2384
Priest Appreciation Pilgrimage Honoring
Father Mathew Sanish

The Catholic Daughters of the Americas were honored to host a special Priest Appreciation outing in celebration of Father Sanish. Filled with gratitude for his faithful service, spiritual guidance, and dedication to our parish family, members gathered for a day of fellowship, faith, and appreciation.

Our celebration began with a delicious meal and wonderful fellowship at LongHorn Steakhouse. Sharing a meal together provided an opportunity to relax, enjoy one another's company, and express our gratitude to Father Sanish for the many ways he serves our parish community.

Following lunch, we traveled to the Gelman Stained Glass Museum, where we were captivated by the breathtaking beauty of sacred stained-glass masterpieces. As we admired the artwork depicting scenes from Scripture and the history of our faith, we were reminded of how God's light shines through those who faithfully answer His call to serve. The museum provided a meaningful setting for reflection and appreciation of the beauty of our Catholic heritage.

We concluded our day with the celebration of Holy Mass at the beautiful Basilica of Our Lady of San Juan del Valle. Gathering around the altar in prayer and worship was a fitting end to our pilgrimage. During Mass, we offered prayers of thanksgiving for Father Sanish and asked God to continue blessing him with wisdom, strength, health, and joy in his priestly ministry.

This special Catholic Daughters event allowed us to honor Father Sanish while deepening our faith through fellowship, sacred art, and the Eucharist. We are truly blessed by his leadership, compassion, and commitment to guiding us closer to Christ.

As we celebrated together, we reflected on these words of Scripture:
"The elders who direct the affairs of the church well are worthy of double honor, especially those whose work is preaching and teaching." — 1 Timothy 5:17

Thank you, Father Sanish, for your faithful "yes" to God's call and for the many blessings you bring to our parish community. May God continue to bless you abundantly and grant you many years of fruitful ministry.

With gratitude and prayers,
The Catholic Daughters of the Americas ✝️🙏💙

Today we gathered together at 12 noon to recite the Rosary for peace as called by the Holy Father, Pope Leo.

According to Vatican News, each decade of the rosary focused on a specific group impacted by war:
Victims of war, specifically the most vulnerable.
Peacemakers who bring hope and the comfort of faith to conflict-stricken populations.
Humanitarian aid workers, including medical and paramedical personnel serving in war zones.
Prisoners of war and those enduring dehumanization or violations of human dignity.
An end to war and the establishment of lasting, just peace worldwide.

Key Messages. During his reflection, Pope Leo XIV emphasized that peace is a "daily commitment" and is possible when we choose to "listen to the cry of those deprived of it". He urged the faithful to practice peace in daily life by abstaining from verbal or physical violence, including on social media.

Blessed Mother, Queen of Peace.... pray for us. 🙏
