⛺️💙 Camp Fundraiser Update 💙⛺️

Since February, we’ve been raising money to go to camp in June, and we’re so thankful for the generosity of our church family! 🙌✨

Thank you to everyone who has donated, supported, and prayed for us along the way. Your kindness is helping make camp possible, and we are incredibly grateful! You’re investing in spiritual growth, lasting friendships, and allowing our young people to learn God’s Word in a meaningful way❤️

We will continue the fundraiser until we leave for camp, so be sure to stop by our table and see what it’s all about!

We will be going to camp for our June activity, but be on the lookout for our July activity details soon👀☀️

We recently started a study for the summer called “Gospel Conversations” by Ben Schettler (founder of The Center for Truth in Love). This is Ben putting action to the words he has written! We are eager to continue this Wednesday night study📚📖

“Real love speaks truth.”

📣Come join us at 7PM on Wednesday nights📣

My gospel discussion with a Broadway actor…
Zane played Jim in the broadway musical The Office. My big takeaways from our “debate/discussion” in NYC (definitely read 4)

1. Action, Faithfulness and Relationships. If you don’t go out into the fields you won’t reap a harvest. I know Zane from previous NYC trips and he has never wanted to talk. Having built a bit of a connection finally opened the door to a conversation about spiritual things. Don’t give up!

2. Truth is essential to wisdom. So many of Zane’s conclusions were based on pop culture’s understanding of current events. Sharing the truth about some of these big issues didn’t immediately change his mind but it got him thinking.

3. Evangelism training in the last few decades has encouraged people to not discuss public policy (politics) I have found that openness to truth about what is happening in our world, leads people to searching for more truth within the Bible. (Joe Rogan, Russell Brand, and Jordan Peterson)

4. Boldness mixed with authentic love is powerful. At one moment in the conversation, which was very friendly, I did directly challenge Zane about some areas he got wrong. While my frame was very loving, he could see that my concern for his soul was driving me to hope he would believe truth.

5. My willingness to be direct rather than avoid our disagreement showed him the importance of truth. How could I be a real friend if I just conformed? Real love cares enough to take the risk of speaking truth.

6. Zane (and so many others) need MORE truth. The convo ended in a hug that came from a very real place. So much of our culture is afraid to ever challenge anyone on “controversial” beliefs. Real love speaks truth.

Pray for Zane. He is a wonderful guy. God is working in his life! Onward!
