If you were not at Locust Bluff United Methodist Church on August 30, 2006, you missed a treat. The service was wonderful; every aspect of it. The choirs were great. The sermon was phenomenal, “All In The Family,” brought by Pastor LeBron Townsand. Sometimes it was serious and sometimes it was funny. It made you realize that laughter is good for the Bones. We thank you New Mount Zion and Pleasant Hill for coming out to worship with us in song and the Word. We thank all of the other churches who were in attendance on our annual Family and Friends Day. It felt like that old time religion in that place.

I think she is amazing. Today at church, I asked her if I could take a picture of her, and she did a split right there on the spot. I said oh my, this is a cheerleader for Jesus Christ.

Talking about a good time, we had a good time at The Bluff today. There was good singing, good preaching, and great music. You missed a treat. Today was Men’s Sunday and those men put on a show. They read the scriptures, they sang, and they were the ushers. They came to do what they did, and they did it well. You are welcome to join us each Sunday at 9:00 AM. Dwayne Smith sang a song that he sang when he was a little kid, ‘Noah’s Ark’. It sounded very good in that grown-up voice, Dwayne. Glory to God.

I keep hearing how successful the Second Annual Jubilee was at Locust Bluff United Methodist Church. We are so proud that you came out and that you enjoyed it. We’re looking forward to seeing you next year and we hope to present to you one that is just as enjoyable or better, if that is possible!
