Tragic loss in the Sunday School and Discipleship world. A mentor to many has gone to his heavenly reward. Well done.
Today we said goodbye to a shepherd, a teacher, and a friend.
It is with deep sorrow that we share that our Associate Pastor, Allan Taylor, has gone home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Since 2019, Allan faithfully served at First Baptist Concord—first as our Executive Pastor of Ministries and then as our Associate Pastor.
Allan’s heart was not bound by one set of walls. For decades, he devoted his life to strengthening churches across the country and nations, coming alongside pastors and congregations to help them grow biblically. He served with a shepherd’s heart wherever he went—pointing people to Christ and inspiring people to follow Jesus. The impact of his faithfulness reaches into communities and churches, and it will be felt for generations.
Please join us in praying for Allan’s family, our staff, and our church family as we grieve the loss of a man we loved deeply. Even in our sorrow, we rejoice in the promise that Allan is now in the presence of the Savior he served so faithfully—and we hold fast to the hope we share in Christ.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.” (Matthew 25:23)
Service details will be shared when they become available.
