Okay...we know this is one of your favorites things about Connect and it is one of our TOP favorite things as well...our MISSIONARIES!!!

We LOVE hearing from missionaries serving around the world, across North America and even right here in Alabama! This year at Connect will be no different! We are thrilled for you to hear from these workers in the harvest!

You can be part of a ministry that equips men and women for life and employment; a ministry that provides a "hand up" rather than a "hand out."

Come and be a part of our CJC Level 1 & 2 Training!

Level 1 Training equips prospective site coordinators to plan, develop, operate and evaluate a Christian Job Corps ministry. This training is the beginning point of a CJC leader's journey.

Level 2 Training is to better equip an active CJC site coordinator to operate and evaluate a ministry site through a more in-depth exploration of key leadership and organizational issues. Attendance at the Level 2 is open to those individuals with at least 12 months of involvement in a CJC site since the completion of Level 1 training.

Both of these trainings are happening July 13-14 in Huntsville, Alabama (in coordination with Tennessee WMU). Learn more and register online at alabamawmu.org/certification-training

We have friends from all of the state and we know that you do as well. This weekend at Shocco is often the only time we get to see one other during the year. We have seen friendships begin and friendships grow through Connect.

Missions Adventure Camp - Week 1...what a week!

Memories made, friendships built, stories heard, songs sang, color wars won, games played, Bible studies given, missionaries met, dances danced, mountains climbed...you just had to be there!

The last couple of days of the Southern Baptist Convention was filled with friends, fun and business! Candace and Jamie ...

The last couple of days of the Southern Baptist Convention was filled with friends, fun and business!

Candace and Jamie continued to enjoy reconnecting with and making new friends. Jamie loved getting to meet with ministers wives from the Alaska Baptist Resource Network while Candace enjoyed being with wives from Southeast Alabama Association of Churches. We also had the opportunity to gather with our State Women's partners.

The last day, we honored Sandy Wisdom-Martin on her last report as Executive Director of WMU while also celebrating a new WMU President! We also rejoiced with our friend Craig Carlisle, AMS of Etowah Association being named 1st Vice President of the convention.

What a beautiful week hearing so many stories of what God is doing around the world!
