is a new ministry of 20s and 30s. Our goal is simply to connect to one another and to our faith as we attempt to navigate life together. Young Adult Ministry

Here at Village Pres., we’ve been experimenting with what it means to do ministry with and as young adults (20s and 30s) for a couple of years. Despite news of generational trends that show us leaving the mainline church, we’re finding life and love and even a little Jesus here. We gather on Thursday nights to connect with one another about a variety of topics, we worship on Sundays (in our morning services or at The Gathering at 5 p.m.), we meet up monthly for fun and service to show our love for our city, and we travel when we can for mission and pilgrimage.

We’re a mixed bag, and we like it that way. We grew up going to church, and had never before been inside. We’re new to Kansas City, and have lived here all our lives. We are engineers, teachers, nurses, writers, artists, and searchers. We consider ourselves skeptics, agnostics, devout Christians, and spiritual beings. We like the Bible, and are baffled by the Bible. We find our world to be beautiful, and lament its brokenness. We are in agreement about very little, but we do all seem to like pizza and dogs.

As we navigate life of early adulthood together, we’ve created a community that is good at helping one another find answers for the simple things, and good at wondering together about the bigger things. If you’re looking for a community to connect with, a people to learn from, a place to just “be,” get in here. We want you with us.
