We all want faithful friends, a faithful spouse, a faithful God. But here is the harder question: can God trust you? That is where this new series, "Faithful," begins.
In Matthew 25, Jesus tells a story about servants entrusted with different amounts of gold. Two of them invested what they were given and heard the words we all long to hear: "Well done, good and faithful servant." The third buried his out of fear and heard something very different. The lesson is clear -- faithfulness is not measured by how much you have been given, but by what you do with it.
The good news is you do not have to do this alone. Galatians 5 reminds us that the fruit of faithfulness grows through the Holy Spirit working in you. Remain connected to God, and he will grow in you what you cannot produce on your own. No root, no fruit.
