We are pleased to announce that God has blessed us with a pastor. We officially offered our pastoral position to Taylor Matthews last Sunday and he accepted. We are beyond excited to welcome Taylor and his family to Center Grove Baptist Church. We are also excited for what God has in store for our church. We wanted to share what Taylor himself posted today because we couldn't have said it better ourself:

From Taylor:
"Iā€™m excited and humbled to share that I have officially accepted the position of Pastor at Center Grove Baptist Church in Ahoskie, North Carolina.

This is a moment I have prayed about deeply, and I truly believe God has opened this door in His perfect timing. Iā€™m incredibly thankful for the trust that the people of Center Grove have placed in me, and I do not take the responsibility of shepherding this church lightly.

My prayer is simple: that we will keep Jesus at the center of everything we do, preach the Gospel boldly, love people genuinely, reach our community faithfully, and see lives changed for the glory of God.

Iā€™m also incredibly thankful for my family as we begin this new chapter together. Ministry is never something one person does alone, and Iā€™m grateful to have them walking beside me.

And I want to personally invite you to join us this Sunday August 30th, 2026, at Center Grove Baptist Church as we begin this new chapter together. Whether you already have a church home, havenā€™t been to church in a long time, or youā€™re simply looking for a place to worship, we would love to have you with us.

Come expecting to worship. Come expecting to hear from Godā€™s Word. Come expecting God to move.

I believe God has great things ahead for Center Grove Baptist Church, and Iā€™m excited to see what He is going to do in this church and throughout our community.
