Sometimes the roads we travel feel uncertain, but we can find peace knowing we don’t walk them alone. This Sunday, we are continuing our sermon series, "Psalm 23: Trusting in the Good Shepherd."

Join us as Pastor Justin dives into what it means to trust in the shepherd's path. Drawing from the comforting truths of Psalm 23 and John 14:1-7, we will explore how Jesus guides us, prepares a place for us, and anchors our hearts when the future feels unknown. Whether you are looking for direction, a sense of peace, or a welcoming community to call home, there is a place for you here.

We are so grateful to partner in ministry with Good Works, Inc., a vital community of hope based in Athens, Ohio. For decades, Good Works has stood in the gap for our neighbors in rural Appalachia—providing shelter, food, and relational support to people experiencing homelessness and poverty.

If you are able to help, here are ways you can support their ongoing work right now.

What a great way to kick off a new season of youth ministry! Our youth and their families gathered for dinner, fun, and plenty of laughter as we played a game together.

We’re looking forward to all that this fall will bring—growing in faith, building friendships, serving others, and making memories along the way!

We’re so grateful for our youth, their families, and everyone who makes our youth ministry such a special part of our church community. Let the fall adventures begin!

What a joy to celebrate the completion and dedication of Lexi’s new Habitat for Humanity home! We are grateful for the many hands, hearts, and resources that came together to make this dream a reality.

From the first day of construction to the final touches, our Powell UMC family has been blessed to be part of Lexi and her daughter’s journey. We give thanks for everyone who volunteered, donated, encouraged, and prayed along the way.

Today, we celebrate not just a beautiful new home, but the beginning of a new chapter for this family. Congratulations, Lexi! May your new home be filled with love, laughter, peace, and many wonderful memories.

Our acolytes had a wonderful training day!

After enjoying lunch together, they spent time learning about the important ways they serve during worship—from lighting the altar candles and helping serve communion to witnessing and assisting during baptisms.

We’re grateful for these young people and their willingness to serve, learn, and be part of our worship community. We can’t wait to see them put their training into action!

Join us this Sunday at Powell UMC as we continue our sermon series, “Psalm 23: Trusting in the Good Shepherd.”

This week, Pastor Carrie will lead us in reflecting on God’s provision. Just as a shepherd faithfully leads and cares for the flock, God provides for us, guides us, and leads us into places of promise.

Come worship with us as we remember that we can trust the Good Shepherd to provide for our needs and lead us faithfully.

We’re excited to share that Lexi’s future home is nearly complete, with volunteers finishing the final punch-list items and beginning to clear the job site. What an incredible milestone!

It truly takes a community to build a home, and we’re grateful for our part in making this affordable home possible for Lexi and her daughter.

Now it is time for Lexi’s Home Dedication Ceremony! It is this Saturday, Aug. 22, at 11am at 253 S. Franklin Street. Come celebrate the completion of this beautiful home and offer your congratulations to Lexi and her family. We hope to see you there!
