Love this church, its heart for people, its love for worship, and its desire to see everyone continue growing in their relationship with the Lord.

God met us this morning as we lifted our voices in worship, prayed over our students serving on mission in Kenya, celebrated the women who completed this past Standing Strong Women’s Mentoring, and heard Pastor Brian Foster walk us through the Word with wisdom, honesty, and encouragement.

What a gift it is to be part of a church family that continues to point people toward Jesus in every season of life!

School’s out, summer is here, and before we move on too quickly, we wanted to celebrate our Burnt Hickory Music and Burnt Hickory Dance students and all the hard work they’ve put in this year.

Their recitals were amazing and a fun way to celebrate how much these students have learned and grown all year long. We’re proud of them, and we’re grateful for the teachers and the dedication they bring week after week.

“Baptism does not save you. Faith in Jesus saves you.”
One of the clearest truths from this Sunday: salvation comes through Jesus alone, and baptism is the celebration of what He’s already done. Watch the full sermon here👇

After a long couple of travel days, our students have made it to Kenya and are now with our mission partners at Swahiba Networks!

Please keep this team in your prayers in the days ahead. Pray for safety, health, endurance, boldness in sharing the gospel, and for God to work powerfully in every person they meet and in this group of students!

Today, we remember and honor all the men and women who sacrificed their freedom for ours. Happy Memorial Day.

63.

63 people walked into church this morning and left having publicly declared that their old life is gone and their new life is found in Jesus.
63 stories of grace.
63 lives changed.
63 people choosing to walk boldly in the new life only Christ can give.

Watching person after person, and whole families step into the waters of baptism, never gets old. Every celebration, every cheer, every tear in the room pointed back to the truth that God is still moving, still saving, and still changing lives right in front of us!

If you missed this morning, don't feel like you missed your chance! There’s always next Sunday, and the Sunday after that, and the Sunday after that. We would love to walk with you through whatever your next step may be with the One who already knows you, loves you, and delights in you!

If you’ve been thinking about taking that step, want to ask a question, or already know you’re ready to walk into the water and say you’re not ashamed, send us a DM. We’d love to talk with you!

Find a better group of people who love our kids, pour into them, and want to see them grow spiritually, while also giving their time to train volunteers and prepare them for not just the fun and logistics of VBS, but also the real challenges kids are facing today. We’ll wait.

From New Christians class on Sunday mornings, where questions are welcomed, and an obstacle course helps teach kids not to let distractions pull them away from hearing God’s voice, to leading and hosting more than a hundred adults as we prepare for the biggest VBS yet, BHBC Kids at Burnt Hickory is the best! We’re so thankful for how deeply they love the Lord, their volunteers, and these kids.
