Day 5 means VBS is a wrap…. SO many friendships, SO many memories, SO many salvation decisions and lives changed this week! 🙏

With over 2,000 people showing up on campus to celebrate Jesus and John 8:12 (💡), this week will forever remain one of the brightest memories in Burnt Hickory history! Not to mention, we had an extra sweet visit from ’ Chick-Fil-A cow to send all of our VBS families home today 🧡

Day 4 of VBS has brought incredible miracles 💛 with 97 first time decisions to accept Jesus as their Savior, 26 children asking to be baptized, and many more with questions and ongoing conversations happening with their class teachers 🙏🙌

Please continue to P R A Y for our leaders and children as we head into day 5. May their hearts and minds be open, softened and receptive to the Holy Spirit in this place 🧡

VBS 2026 is rocking the building!! From worship rally songs being belted out in our packed out auditorium 🎶 class discussions being prayerfully led by our incredible VBS teachers 🙏 to precious hallway friendships being formed 👯‍♀️ It’s amazing to see what God has done in just two day at Burnt Hickory - and we can’t wait to see what the rest of the week brings!

The church has been transformed into a colorful and illuminated station for learning about Jesus 🤩 (see what we did there??!)

With over 1,600 children pre-registered and 500+ volunteers ready to teach, lead and serve - we can’t wait to see what amazing things come to LIGHT this week at Burnt Hickory’s VBS ☀️💡🧡

On Sundays, we worship. On Sundays, we gather. On Sundays, we do life together - and that includes the little ones, too. Knowing their names, knowing their favorite songs, knowing what their pet accidentally ate that they had to take it to the vet for 🐶

Because all of that seemingly random knowledge = a relationship with that child. And a relationship with that child = safety. Safety for bigger questions and conversations to transpire. Foundational questions. Holy conversations.

It starts with baby snuggles and blowing bubbles, but it turns into salvation decisions and baptisms 🩵

It’s been eight weeks of snacks 🍿 memory verses 🧠 worship songs 🎶 deepening friendships 💙 and a whole lot of Jesus at Northside Elementary with our Solid Rock after school club crew! With lots of cool questions asked, the Holy Spirit showed up in a big way for our last day today - we had SEVEN 7️⃣ sweet children make salvation decisions for the Lord 🙌

It was great to be back together today after Easter + Spring Break 🩵

From LifeGroups to worship, large group lessons to playtime and goldfish…. and everything in between, BHBC Kids was back in the normal Sunday routine and it felt good to worship and fellowship alongside friends! Happy Sunday, everyone ☀️
