Our Temple Adat Shalom family joins the wider San Diego faith community in mourning the senseless attack and loss of life suffered by the Islamic Center of San Diego, their members and the entire Muslim community. We firmly believe that violence against one is violence against all.

With every fiber of our being, we affirm that as one family - born of God - there is no cause, no passion, no belief that will ever warrant the desecration of the holiness placed within every human being at our creation.

Such actions are not American. They are not reflective or our humanity. They are not of God. We unite with all those dedicated to serving the Divine hope that we will at last choose life — through love, compassion, understanding, and mutual respect.

May the lives of those tragically taken before their time, serve as an eternal reminder and blessing, bringing us into that day of peace known by all. Our entire community shares our heartfelt love with those who mourn and our commitment to establishing God’s hope for life, in our day.
