1 Corinthians 1:18–31 The Foolishness That Saves
The world calls the cross foolish. But what looks like weakness to the world is the most powerful thing that has ever happened.
God didn't send a king with an army. He sent His Son — arms wide open, love poured out, death swallowed up. And because of that cross, the light of Christ reaches into every dark corner of your life. Nothing is beyond His love. Nothing is beyond His reach.
"God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong." — 1 Cor. 1:27
That means He chose you. Not the polished version of you. Not the version that has it all together. You — right now, just as you are. Loved. Seen. Held in the light of His grace.
This Holy Week, if you're carrying something heavy — a hurt that won't heal, a door that won't open, a fear that keeps showing up — bring it to the cross.
Jesus has already been to the lowest place. He knows the way through. And because He rose, you will too. His love is stronger than your struggle, and His light is stronger than any darkness you are facing.
You are not forgotten. You are not finished. You are held by the One who conquered death — and whose love and light will never, ever go out.
For reflection: What are you carrying this week that you need to lay at the feet of Jesus? Take a moment right now — name it, release it, and let the love and light of Christ meet you right where you are. He is the light no darkness can put out.
He is faithful. He is risen. And He is for you. Grace and peace this Holy Week.
