All Souls’ Day – A Service of Remembrance
Monday, November 2 | 6:30 PM | Christ Episcopal Church
On All Souls’ Day, we gather to remember and give thanks for the lives of those we love but see no longer. It is a beautiful opportunity to pause, remember, and entrust those who have died to the loving care of God.
This year, our observance will be especially meaningful as we remember not only our own loved ones but also the generations of faithful people who have been part of Christ Church's history.
We will begin at 6:30 PM with a celebration of the Holy Eucharist in the Columbarium Chapel. Following the service, we will make a prayerful procession around the church grounds, remembering those who have gone before us. Many may not realize that Christ Church was built on a cemetery and that generations of the faithful departed are buried right here on our property. As we walk these sacred grounds, we will offer prayers of thanksgiving and remembrance for those whose lives and faith helped shape this parish.
Grief has a way of staying with us, whether our loss was recent or many years ago. This service offers a time to remember, give thanks, and find comfort in the promise that nothing, not even death, can separate us from the love of God.
Would you like someone remembered by name? Please email Greg in the parish office ([email protected]) or sign up on a sign up sheet outside the parish hall with the names of family members or loved ones you would like included in our prayers. Names must be submitted by Thursday, October 29, at noon.
All are welcome to join us for this special evening of remembrance, prayer, and hope.
