First Presbyterian Church is a member of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), which has approximately 2.3 million members and 10,000 congregations. Presbyterians trace our heritage to the Protestant Reformation in the 16th century. The key person in the birth of the Presbyterian Church and its breakoff from the Roman Catholic church was John C

alvin (1509-1564), a French Reformer exiled to Switzerland. Presbyterians were among the earliest settlers of the United States and largely came from Scotland where the Church of Scotland is Presbyterian. Under an early September sun, we worshipped outside in the Peace Garden yesterday. Reflections were shared by members about how God shows up in our every day lives.

Next Sunday, September 13th, our worship service moves back to 10:30AM.
Join us in the sanctuary or online via our livestream.

After worship, we will have our Rally Day and Annual Church Picnic festivities.
