The Apostle Paul celebrates the fact of the gospel’s power in Romans 1:16, “for I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes…” It is this power that we seek to live in and celebrate at Emmanuel Baptist Church. We fir

mly hold to the truth that the gospel is not merely the good news by which we are saved, but that it is the fuel for the Christian life. As a result, we seek to display the gospel in everything we do, whether gathered for corporate worship or scattered in daily worship. From Bible studies, to music, to missions, to student activities, Emmanuel is seeking to be a gospel driven church with opportunities for your entire family.

Good morning church family,
I wanted to share a familiar verse this morning as things in the world and in many lives right now seem very chaotic.
Psalm 46:1-4 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear even though the Earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea, though it’s waters roar and be troubled, though the mountain shake with its swelling.
These are pretty dramatic events the psalmist is describing, actually pretty horrific if we take them literally.
It is telling me that the worst we can imagine is nothing to the safety and greatness of our god.
Not sure where each of you are at today, I know many of you are facing real struggles and difficulties, but let us walk in the refuge and strength of the Almighty.
Towards the end of the psalm, he advises us to be still and know that he is God. A word picture of what peace is… calm trust in Him.
Continue to pray for our troops and leaders, for our Jewish brothers and all the people in the Middle East.
I will be exalted among the nations I will be exalted in all the earth.

Dear church family, I wish all of you could see how the church has been transformed into a kids ministry machine! I am so thankful for all of those who have poured hours into this most amazing scene. Please be in prayer for the lord to move mightily this week and reveal himself to our kids and visitors.
I am also aware as we celebrate here other parts of the world are in desperate shape. Please be in prayer for the nation of Israel tonight and for the Middle East in particular. I am asking that the Lord reveal himself in a miraculous way to a very troubled world also.

Father, we turn to You, seeking refuge and safety for all affected by the conflict in Israel and its neighboring nations. Just as Your Word promises, we pray that You, the Most High, will shelter them under Your protective wings. May Your presence bring a calming assurance to both civilians and peacekeepers on the ground. We trust in Your unwavering care, believing that in Your shadow, they find comfort and security. In Jesus’ name, amen.
