Recently we lost a giant in the faith. Her name is Lucy Mutio and she lived in Kenya

Lucy was the right arm and chief support person to MM missionary, Nancy Spencer.

Her tireless commitment to discipling others and aiding Nancy is a tribute to her legacy.

You are missed Lucy

Here are a few facts from two different polls that are alarming.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- A record-low 20% of Americans now say the Bible is the literal word of God, down from 24% the last time the question was asked in 2017, and half of what it was at its high points in 1980 and 1984. Meanwhile, a new high of 29% say the Bible is a collection of "fables, legends, history and moral precepts recorded by man." This marks the first time significantly more Americans have viewed the Bible as not divinely inspired than as the literal word of God. The largest percentage, 49%, choose the middle alternative, roughly in line with where it has been in previous years.

Another poll reports that it is estimated that nearly 70 to 75% of members of evangelical churches are not born again due to easy believeism and no heart repentance.

The need for discipleship is at an all time high.

According to the Barna Group discipleship is at a low priority in local churches, at least one to one discipleship which is the most effective way to grow disciples.

Barna reports, "Some Christians who aren't making disciples seem to only need a push. One in four says the practice of discipling others hasn't been suggested to them, 24% or they haven't even thought about helping someone grow closer to God, 22%."

At MM we have been aware of the lack or truly making disciples in local churches, that's why we have produced quality discipleship materials for over 40 years.

It's time to be obedient to the Lord's commission to make disciples, Matthew 28:19-20 even if it's not part of your church's program.

Paul tells us that disciples need to make disciples that make disciples, 2 Timothy 2:2.

Recently Multiplication Ministries, Vice President Art Valadez held a conference on The Reset Church.

He shared MM principles that have been successful at Pathway Church where God has really blessed since Art became pastor just two years ago.

The conference gave hope and insight to 30 pastors and church leaders to reach out and reset churches that need change.

Multiplication Ministries is all about disciple making, spiritual reproduction and healthy reproductive churches.

I had the joy of meeting for breakfast with Pastor Bob Baker and his lovely wife Cathy. Bob is the missions and discipleship pastor at Anchorage Baptist Temple in Anchorage Alaska.

I've been training and mentoring Bob for several months in MM principles via Skype and was honored that he was able to make the trip to Idaho to visit me personally.

I do these trainings with a number of pastors over cyber space but Bob and Cathy have taken things seriously and to a new level.

Each of them have established One to One discipleship teams of more than a dozen men and a dozen women in a few short months that are multiplying all the time.

God bless you Bakers, I'm proud you both. You're a blessing to me.

Prayer 🙏🏼 need: As you know, we have been looking for a home to purchase to use as our ministry and retreat center for training Chinese pastors and church leaders as we bring them here to Southern California. Tomorrow, we will be looking at a number of homes with our real estate agent, another brother in Christ. Please pray for wisdom as this is a very big decision for us. Another request… A house came on the market today that has everything we would need and more and is within a 40 minute drive from the Ministries we will continue here in North county. We are checking into it today to see if it is even a possibility. It looks like it would be the perfect place for our ministry needs. Even the price is within reach. Please pray for a miracle today. Thank you for the love you have shown to us and our brothers and sisters and the persecuted underground church in China.

In 1972 I heard this sermon by Dawson Trotman and it shaped the rest of my life and ministry. Today I lead Multiplication Ministries which is committed to disciple-making as each Christian is commanded to be. Listen to Dawson's message. If it doesn't cause you to order discipleship materials and reproduce spiritually...then nothing will.
