We want the direction and the explanation.

We want to know where we’re going, how it’s going to work, and what happens when we get there.

But sometimes God simply says, “Go.”

Following Jesus doesn’t always mean having the whole plan. Sometimes it means trusting Him enough to take the next step with only the direction He’s given you.

You may not know what’s ahead—but you can know Who is leading you.

You don’t need all the details to obey the direction.

Keep moving toward what God has called you to.

We like to know the plan.

Where are we going?
How is this going to work?
What happens next?

But following Jesus doesn’t always come with all the details.

Sometimes God gives us the direction and asks us to trust Him with everything we can’t see yet.

You don’t have to know what it’ll look like a year from now—or even how everything will work out. You just have to be committed to obeying Jesus today.

You may not know what’s ahead, but when you know Who is leading you, you can keep moving forward.

Keep moving toward what God has called you to.

Starting is exciting. There’s energy, anticipation, and excitement about what God might do. But then you get into the middle.

It gets harder.
It takes longer than you expected.
The excitement fades.
And quitting starts to look easier than continuing.

But what if the difficult middle doesn’t mean it’s time to quit?

If God isn’t finished, neither am I.

Keep showing up. Keep trusting. Keep obeying. Keep taking the next step.

God may still be writing the part of the story you haven’t seen yet.

It’s easy to get focused on where we’re going, what needs to get done, and what’s next. But sometimes, the interruption is the ministry.

The person who needs encouragement.
The friend who needs someone to listen.
The coworker who needs to hear about Jesus.

Following Jesus isn’t only about reaching the destination. It’s about being willing to notice the people He places along the way.

Sometimes the people God puts in your path are the assignment.

Don’t get so busy getting somewhere that you miss who God has placed right in front of you.

Motherhood is better when we don’t do it alone.

We’re excited to launch Moms on Mission, a new Friday morning group created for moms to build genuine friendships, encourage one another, grow in faith, and walk through motherhood together.

Whether you’re in the newborn stage, chasing toddlers, navigating school years, or somewhere in between, there’s a place for you here.

📅 Launching Friday, September 25th
⏰ Fridays | 9:30–11:30 AM
📍 The River Church

Come find your people, grow together, and be reminded that there is purpose in this season.

Moms, you belong here.

You can grow up in church and know all the right words.

But none of those things can replace knowing Jesus for yourself.

Faith was never meant to be something we simply imitate from the people around us. Your parents’ faith can’t become your faith. Your pastor’s relationship with Jesus can’t become yours. Your friend’s walk with God can’t substitute for your own.

You can borrow someone else’s vocabulary, but you cannot borrow someone else’s relationship with Jesus.

Don’t settle for knowing how to look the part.
