Tidewater Church is a contemporary, inter-denominational church forming now in Portsmouth, Virginia, serving the Hampton Roads Metro and Greater Tidewater Region geographically and the world online. r from God and those who desire to participate actively in a brand-new church. We are currently holding interest meetings, preview church services, discipleship classes, and leadership development meetings each Sunday at 10:30 a.m. We are looking for and offer free training for those interested in joining a new ministry built from the ground up. We are explicitly recruiting musicians, singers, children, youth ministry workers (background check required), associate pastors in training, Audio/video/lighting/livestream team members, security team, hospitality team, and more. Our Grand Opening is scheduled for Sunday, September 15, at 10:30 a.m. We desire to bless Hampton Roads with the Good News of Jesus and touch the world through international missions support. Sunday morning we will pray over students, teachers & school administration, it will be the Kidsfest finale & after church we will have a feast of food in the ministry barn w/many dishes brought buy the church family + pizza, ice cream & more. Kidsfest winners will be announced & prizes will be ordered. Krispy Kreme/coffee @10 a.m. Wear comfortable clothes for after service meal as the ministry barn is only lightly cooled with evaporative coolers. Bring friends/family to hear about Jesus!

Kidsfest starts tonight at 6:30 p.m. with fun, games, prizes, music, Bible lessons, puppets, snacks, dances, an offering contest, prayer and more. Tonight through Friday night will be at 6:30 p.m. and Sunday morning kids will take over the main service at 10:30 a.m. and we will also have Back to School prayer and food after church. Bring kids ages 2-12. Any children under 4 years old or with special or additional needs MUST be accompanied by an adult. Invite a child now and help us reach more kids for Christ! So, I know what you're thinking- "Hey, my life doesn't stink!" Well, in that case, how awesome will your already decently satisfying life be with a Cold Coke and Blue Bell Ice Cream Cup after church? If your life is currently at a 2 out of 10, I'm thinking you're at a solid 5 after the free Coke and Ice Cream. If you're at an 8, why not make it a 10? Seriously, while we are giving away a free Coke and Blue Bell, the real, lasting, non-fattening joy, comes from Jesus! And Jesus will be with you on this sweet day as we have donuts before church, a great message about faith, Coke and Ice Cream after church and experience abundant life in Christ as we enjoy the fellowship of God's people and the Holy Spirit!

Dealing with depression?

1) Exercise for 20 minutes.
2) Do something simple and easy that you can see an immediate result (ex.- take out the trash).
3) Pray and read the Bible for 20 minutes.
4) Do one meaningful thing for someone else.
5) Then sit on your couch or get in bed and be as depressed as you want to be.

(Someone else posted something similar to this on Facebook, but added a song with a curse word in it behind them, so I’m tweeting a few things and resharing it without that- curse words also help grow depression.)
