Advent is about waiting and preparing our hearts for the Christ child. This third Sunday, Guadete Sunday, is a time to rejoice because HE is almost here!

There are no adequate words, so we invite you to pray with us:

Jesus, we don’t understand. The evils we’ve seen are tragic, heartbreaking, senseless, and sickening. Yet You call us to have hope that this evil will be overcome. Give us the grace to live according to that hope.

We pray for the victims, their families, all witnesses, and first responders in Las Vegas. Pour out your peace on those who need it most. And we pray for the soul of the man who committed this shockingly evil act.

We beg you Jesus, for Your justice, Your mercy, Your peace. Give us hearts that will love with your love — the love that will drive out the darkness and truly overcome evil with good. Be with us now Jesus. Though the intercession of the Blessed Mother and in Your holy Name we pray, amen.
