Today we’re reminded that charity is about more than giving—it’s about caring for our neighbors and putting Christ’s love into action.

At St. Andrew Lutheran Church, we’re grateful for the many ways our congregation reaches beyond our walls to serve our community. From food collections to outreach and simple acts of kindness, we strive to share the love of Christ with those around us. May we continue to be the hands and feet of Christ, sharing kindness, hope, and love wherever we can.

In Matthew 16, Jesus reminds his disciples that following him isn’t always the easy road. It means letting go of our need to control everything, taking up our cross, and trusting God’s path—even when we don’t fully understand it.

May we remember that a life centered on Christ is not about gaining the whole world, but about finding what truly matters.
