Gates will be closed again today. Thank you for your patience.

04/28/2026

Due to recent rainfall, the cemetery gates will be closed today to allow for necessary ground maintenance.

Visitors are still welcome to enter on foot, but please do so at your own risk, as conditions may be uneven. Please use caution, as there may be debris such as loose or flying rocks, as well as increased ant activity. Sections actively being worked on will be closed, and cemetery staff will be unable to stop for visitors during this time.

We appreciate your understanding as we work to maintain the safety and care of the grounds.

Dear Families,

As we move into the holiday season, we know many will be placing flowers and decorations for their loved ones. Please remember that all items must be placed inside an approved vase (this includes lights). Anything outside of a vase is not permitted per the cemetery’s rules and regulations and will either be placed into the vase (if possible) or removed during grounds maintenance.

Thank you for helping us keep the cemetery safe, orderly, and beautiful for everyone.

Wishing you and your families a warm and peaceful holiday season,
Cemetery Staff

Does anyone recognize this doggo? He's been hanging out at the cemetery for a little over a week now. We’ve called animal control but they're backed up. Unfortunately we can't get close enough to check his tag.

Good afternoon!

As Hurricane Beryl approaches, we'd like to inform you about the preparations the Cemetery is taking for cleanup and closures. According to NOAA, Beryl is expected to make landfall just south of Corpus Christi and may turn north as it crosses the Gulf.

In anticipation of the storm, the Cemetery staff will begin removing all flowers and decorations starting Saturday morning. Please visit the Cemetery to collect any flowers or decorations you want to keep.

We understand that this may cause some inconvenience, but these proactive measures will help us reopen the Cemetery more quickly after the storm.

We also ask for your help spreading the word by sharing this message with as many families as possible. We appreciate the effort, time, and care you put into creating memorials for your loved ones, and thank you for your ongoing support and understanding.

Respectfully,

Cemetery Staff

Hello everyone,

We regret to inform you that due to the recent flooding from Tropical Storm Alberto, the Cemetery will be closed until further notice. The heavy rainfall has flooded most of the cemetery grounds, making them unstable and unsafe to walk on. We have been closely monitoring the situation, and according to the current weather forecasts, the rain is expected to continue through Friday. At that time, our staff will reassess the situation.

We understand that this closure may cause inconvenience, and we assure you that this decision was made with everyone's safety in mind. For your safety, we kindly ask that you refrain from visiting the cemetery while it is closed. If you choose to disregard the closure, please be aware that you do so at your own risk, and the Cemetery cannot be held responsible for any damages.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Stay safe,

Cemetery Staff

Hello Families,

Between Friday evening and Monday morning, the Cemetery had approximately 100+ vases stolen from sections B, B-1, E, and E-1 (the sections closest to the road). An incident report has been filed with the San Patricio County Sheriff’s Office, and the Case # is C-23-34616. While the Cemetery is doing everything it can to assist in bringing the thieves to justice, it is the responsibility of the monument’s owner to file an official report of theft with the San Patricio County Sheriff’s Office, as the monuments are the property of the individual plot owner and/or monument purchaser.

Our main goal is to assist families with a respectful and peaceful final resting place. Please check your monuments and contact us at 361-442-6112 with questions.

***UPDATE***

THE GATES WILL BE OPENED SHORTLY!

Please continue to use caution as the rain has brought many new ant piles and there are still sunken graves and small holes throughout the grounds.

Just a reminder that visitation is at your own risk and the Cemetery assumes no liability for injuries or incidents that occur while on cemetery grounds. We hoped to have graves filled in before we reopened; however, the grounds are still too wet for heavy equipment and the dirt is not dry enough to utilize. Please know that we respect our families and visitors and we will continue to work diligently to have the grounds up to par.

Thank you for your patience, have a beautiful weekend!
