Re-establsihed in 2010, The Palms Memorial Gardens Cemetery has served our community with pride and dedication for more than four years. Privately owned and operated, The Palms Memorial Gardens Cemetery strives to meet the needs of its clients by managing with a sincere concern for the public interest and great respect for human dignity.

Dear Families,

The recent heavy rains have caused some graves to sink and the grounds to become soft in certain areas. We ask that all visitors use caution while walking throughout the cemetery.

Our staff is actively assessing the grounds and planning the necessary repairs and maintenance. Because of the saturated conditions, we must allow the grounds to dry before safely operating the equipment.

Please know that this work will be completed over the next couple of weeks as weather and ground conditions allow. While you may not see immediate repairs in every area, we are committed to restoring the grounds and addressing all affected areas as soon as it is safe to do so.

Due to recent rainfall, the cemetery gates will be closed today to allow for necessary ground maintenance.

Visitors are still welcome to enter on foot, but please do so at your own risk, as conditions may be uneven. Please use caution, as there may be debris such as loose or flying rocks, as well as increased ant activity. Sections actively being worked on will be closed, and cemetery staff will be unable to stop for visitors during this time.

We appreciate your understanding as we work to maintain the safety and care of the grounds.

Dear Families,

As we move into the holiday season, we know many will be placing flowers and decorations for their loved ones. Please remember that all items must be placed inside an approved vase (this includes lights). Anything outside of a vase is not permitted per the cemetery’s rules and regulations and will either be placed into the vase (if possible) or removed during grounds maintenance.

***UPDATE***

The cemetery is now open; however, we are still clearing debris, and the drive will remain closed until further notice. Visitors are welcome to park outside the gates and walk in. For everyone’s safety, please refrain from entering areas where workers are present and do not move any gates or cones. Thank you for your continued patience as we work to restore the cemetery grounds.

Due to the severe storms yesterday, the cemetery will remain closed until further notice as we clear debris and evaluate ground stability. For your safety and to prevent damage, please do not park along the roadway or enter the grounds until reopening is announced. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Does anyone recognize this doggo? He's been hanging out at the cemetery for a little over a week now. We’ve called animal control but they're backed up. Unfortunately we can't get close enough to check his tag.

Good afternoon!

As Hurricane Beryl approaches, we'd like to inform you about the preparations the Cemetery is taking for cleanup and closures. According to NOAA, Beryl is expected to make landfall just south of Corpus Christi and may turn north as it crosses the Gulf.

In anticipation of the storm, the Cemetery staff will begin removing all flowers and decorations starting Saturday morning. Please visit the Cemetery to collect any flowers or decorations you want to keep.

We understand that this may cause some inconvenience, but these proactive measures will help us reopen the Cemetery more quickly after the storm.

We also ask for your help spreading the word by sharing this message with as many families as possible. We appreciate the effort, time, and care you put into creating memorials for your loved ones, and thank you for your ongoing support and understanding.

***UPDATE***

6/21/24 - Thankfully the waters have receded, however, the grounds are still unstable, slippery uand there are several sunken graves. At this time the Cemetery will remain closed; we will reassess in a few days and update accordingly. The previous closure statements remain in effect.
