Be thankful for the thorns and thistles. Charles Spurgeon once reminded us that these painful trials are actually a gentle mercy, keeping us from anchoring our souls too deeply in a temporary world. As Genesis 3:18 shows, hardship has been part of our reality from the beginning, but it also serves to humble us and draw our hearts back to what truly matters. Let’s choose gratitude today, not just for the smooth paths, but for the sharp edges that deepen our faith and fix our eyes on the eternal.

Sunday, August 30, is going to be a special day at Living Free!

Our LF Kids will help us live out our mission through BGMC, giving toward missions and learning that even at a young age, they can make a difference around the world! 🌎

It’s also Family Day, so our LF Kids will join us in the main service as we worship and celebrate together as one church family.

After service, we’ll continue the fun with a church family luncheon on the property! Bring an entrée and a side or dessert to share, and stay for good food, laughter, and fellowship. 🍽️
