Tabor Adventist Church is a house of prayer where forever friendships with Christ are created by reaching out to people, embracing them with love, and lifting them to God in prayer, in discipleship, and in witness. It is a fellowship of believers coming together to declare the glory of the Lord and celebrate Jesus as King. May God richly bless you! We are located at 1001 SE 60th Ave. Portland, OR 97215.

He makes all things beautiful—in the broken places, the waiting seasons, and the quiet moments when we think nothing is changing. What feels like ruin is often the beginning of redemption. God is at work, turning pain into purpose, grief into grace, and confusion into clarity.

“…He has made everything beautiful in its time.” — Ecclesiastes 3:11

What’s in your bucket today?
When thoughts come your way, not everything deserves a place in your mind. Some thoughts belong in the bucket of nonsense because they are not true, not helpful, and not in harmony with what God says about you. Some thoughts belong in contemplation because they need prayer, wisdom, and honest conversation. And some thoughts belong in action because God is calling you to step out in faith and do something with them.

Remember who you are in Christ, and live like you are in Christ. If Jesus would not say it about you, you should not say it about yourself.

Take a moment today to sort your thoughts into the three buckets. Then choose one lie to reject, one thought to pray through, and one step of faith to take.

Psalm 23 reminds us that we are never walking alone. The Shepherd who leads us into peace, restores our soul, and walks with us through every valley is the same God who guides us into this new day.

Whatever this week holds, His goodness and mercy are already ahead of you.

Reflecting on Mother’s Day and carrying its love into the week ahead, we give thanks for the women who nurture, pray, encourage, and love so faithfully. Their care leaves a lasting impact that continues far beyond one special day. May we carry that same spirit of kindness, grace, and gratitude into all we do this week.

Rise.

Just like the man at the pool in John 5:5, we all have places where hope feels delayed and strength feels small. But Jesus sees us in our waiting, meets us in our weakness, and calls us to new life. Don’t stay stuck in what has held you back—lean into His mercy, trust His power, and take the next step in faith. Your healing, your breakthrough, and your purpose are in His hands.

Choose Jesus.

Every day is a new opportunity to walk in faith, trust His goodness, and follow the One who leads us with love, grace, and truth. When we choose Jesus, we choose hope, peace, and a life made whole by His mercy.

With God, the impossible becomes possible. When the road feels too steep, remember that His strength is greater than our limits, His wisdom is greater than our plans, and His power is greater than every obstacle. Keep believing, keep praying, and keep moving forward in faith.

“Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.’” — Matthew 19:26

“Set your mind on things above” is a beautiful reminder to lift our thoughts beyond today’s worries and fix our hearts on God’s eternal truth. Colossians 3:2 says, “Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.” When we choose heaven’s perspective, peace replaces fear and hope rises above doubt.

Call to action: Today, take a moment to pause, pray, and refocus your thoughts on God’s promises.
