We had a chance to support The Kato family, they stayed our house last week, and performed in our church and my son’s school, It was amazing ✨

Takumi Kato has been a taiko drummer for 25 years, including his 2 year training and performance at Kodo. (Kodo is a most famous Japanese drum group) He’s also a winner of the world taiko drum competition! His three children are also Taiko performers (11, 9, and 6 years old)

To promote cultural exchange through music, he and his children have a goal of performing 1,000 times in 5 years across 50 states, all for free! They have been touring around based on donations only!

今回ご縁があって、日本からお越しの平和と文化交流のために家族5人でアメリカ50州、1,000回演奏を目標にドネーションのみで活動をしている和太鼓奏者の加藤拓三（かとう たくみ）さんご家族をサポートさせていただきました。
（宿泊場所や食事の提供、演奏会の会場の手配など）
また、息子の学校、ご近所さん限定の演奏会も当教会の神殿で開催し大盛況でした。素敵な夢をご家族で追う姿を近くで拝見出来て感激しました。
