The very beginning of our parish took root with the coming of the first family from Italy to settle in Portland April 16, 1882. Helping young hearts encounter God's Word.

This Sunday, June 21, during the 9:00am Mass, we will offer Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLOW).

Designed especially for our younger parishioners who have not yet begun formal sacramental preparation or faith formation classes, CLOW provides an opportunity for children to hear and explore the Sunday Gospel in a way that speaks to their age and understanding.

An announcement will be made during Mass for any children who would like to participate.

We are grateful for this special ministry that helps our youngest parishioners grow in faith and discover God's love through His Word.

Children's Liturgy of the Word is offered on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month. Upcoming dates include:

Honoring our Lady of Fatima

All are invited to pray the Rosary in honor of Our Lady of Fatima on Saturday, June 13th at 12 PM at St. Peter’s Grotto.

This devotion will continue on the 2nd Saturday of each month through October.

Our newly ordained priests have received their first assignments and will begin their ministry on June 1!

Father Evans Yongyee has been appointed Parochial Vicar of St. John Paul II Parish in Scarborough, and Father Ezekiel Yisi has been appointed Parochial Vicar of St. Agnes Parish in Island Falls, St. Mary of the Visitation Parish in Houlton, and St. Benedict Parish in Benedicta.

As they embark on this new chapter of priestly ministry, may the Lord bless them abundantly, strengthen them in their vocation, and use them as instruments of His grace and mercy. Please keep Fathers Evans and Ezekiel in your prayers as they begin serving the people entrusted to their care.
