I want to put out a bit of a warning to folks about false teachings.
I see so much probably because of where we are situated at the Cpot.
I was looking at some reels on facebook this week and though I didn’t listen to it except the opening statements that started with a really false teaching and began to back it with different Scriptures and it reminded me of what had come up at the Cpot again recently.
They said on the reel that God doesn’t love sinners.
That He hates sin and hates the sinner.
That is so far from the truth.
We’d all be in dire trouble if that were true.
I won’t go any further on that except to say, God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son Jesus that whosoever believes on Him won’t perish but have eternal life.
Gordon and I said at the same time, after that reel , we’re all chiefest of sinners and if we think we aren’t we just haven’t seen well yet.
I know it has always been God’s wonderful presence of Love that came and drew me to Him.
And still He does this, not only to me, but in and through me to others.
God in us. What a wonderful life He has given to us so wholly undeserved.
To see the Lord in our lives and in other’s lives! To really get to know God!! Thank You Jesus!!!
For all that You have done!!!
So I’m mentioning this reel as that teaching kind of visited the Coffee Pot last month and does pretty often.
Usually it comes from some deep hurt that a person can’t let go of or a false teaching that is not being let go of.
Amazing how prevalent this stuff is.
Then seeing it on facebook it seemed like a good idea to mention that no matter what state anybody is in, God’s love is deeper, wider, higher and way more able than our limitedness.
You don’t have to entertain devils or put yourself in harm’s way but we don’t need to think we can judge whether a person will or can be saved.
We’re not here to judge those on the outside but to be Jesus’ presence here to others that they might be saved.
And that takes dying to our self life, so that the resurrected life of Jesus’ Holy Spirit can move through us, that the Lord’s life can be seen and draw folks to Himself.
Love, kindness, mercy, forgiveness, Him, to draw folks homeward to Himself, to God, just like He did for us.
Jesus clearly said, He did not come to condemn the world but to save it.
I think unforgiveness of a person or persons affects so much more than we can imagine.
When we can’t get over some slight or harm or terrible pain someone caused and just think we can’t let it go and are unable to discern the captivity of the people possessed and the devil moving on them, well then it is hard to let go.
We’re not forgiving the devil, they are already condemned by God to eternal damnation, we are obeying Jesus to forgive and He will bring us healing, to set us free and forgive us and that possibly the person used for such pain might be set free of their prison and be saved.
It is not okaying the act of injustice or pain or harm. Nothing to do with that. It is setting ourselves free from satan’s bo***ge of pain and unforgiveness by the power of the Holy Spirit and setting the person, ourselves, people, church, job, or anyone free that the curse be gone and possibly a life change in salvation can occur and healing through forgiveness.
Our business is just to seek the Lord to be set free and set others free.
God has the rest.
It can be a leaven of unforgiveness foaming up like a yeast to where ever we take it, whatever we speak or to others that remind us of some slight in our past. Some person that harmed us.
Jesus is in the business of healing and redeeming broken and destroyed lives.
Ours and others.
The best bet for any unforgiveness of someone if you can’t forgive is go to Jesus with it because He can heal any wound having suffered so many on the cross.
It may take going to the Lord to bring about a deep healing of forgiving. He is able.
We have to choose, and He is well able to get through what we ourselves cannot do.
God doesn’t love sin but He does love people.
And we’re all sinners saved by God’s grace.
I had a bit of a ruckus last month with a young woman trying to bring this ‘they don’t deserve it’, into the Bible study and when not allowed to teach that, it was interlaced constantly and repeated over and over then I finally had to say something.
This stuff is really not new.
Oddly especially with folks thinking they are called to teach this stuff.
Nothing new under the sun.
Better a short scene than to have someone put on the role of a teacher without having the belt of Truth in place.
We are responsible for folks that come to hear the Word of God that that’s what we want them to hear.
The Scriptures and the daily application of the Bible in our lives.
I don’t have near the difficulty with local folks hungry for the Word as I do with folks wanting to teach and not knowing the Scriptures.
Folks compelled to share opinions.
But opinion is not needful, nor is it trust worthy, it’s destructive.
It is in hearing God’s Word that is utterly needful, and if handled correctly it is God’s Word that can daily guide us safely as we hear the Word of God through Scriptures and put it into practice.
