With deep sadness, our Senior Pastor Dr. Jacqueline A. Thompson, the Officers, Ministers, and Members of Allen Temple Baptist Church announce the earthly transition of our beloved Pastor Emeritus, Dr. J. Alfred Smith, Sr., who peacefully went home to be with our Lord on Friday, September 19, 2025.

Please join us in prayer with and for the Smith Family, his many friends, colleagues, and daughters & sons in ministry.

We ask that you kindly allow the family space to process this deep time of grief.
