David worshiped wholeheartedly because he understood the truth rightfully. We must worship in spirit and in truth. 🙌

"Psalm 115:3 says, “Our God is in the heavens; he does all that he pleases.” And you know what pleases Him? To be actively involved in our lives. To provide for us. To rescue us. To dwell among us. To redeem us. The existence of the ark of the covenant is a constant reminder of that fact. And that fact should cause something within you and to come out of you. Celebration."

This Father's Day we are dedicating THIRTEEN children and their families to the Lord. 💙 Fathers are commanded to bring up their children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord (Eph. 6:4). One of the most driving factors in a child's spiritual development is how involved their father is in their spiritual life—attending church with the family, praying together, leading in family devotionals. Fathers matter because families matter. 💙 God has blessed us tremendously with with so many young, growing families. We would love for you to come be a part of what God is doing. This is where you come to grow. Please join us this Sunday at 9am.

YOU CAN TRUST GOD!

"Think about God. He is Creator of the cosmos. You understand the power in that, right? You see how hard it is for us to get back to the moon right now. God breathes out stars [Ps 33:6] and knows them all by name. [Ps 147:4] Oh, and there are billions of stars in billions of galaxies. And you and I would rather try to hold our own world in our hands. At least that’s how we act, right? Or that’s how we worry. Or that’s why we’re anxious. [Matt 6:25-34]"

"Because of the Son of David, Jesus Christ, who paid the price for our sins, who prepared a table before us in the presence of our enemies, we, who place our faith in Jesus, receive goodness and mercy all the days of our life, for all eternity—forever and ever dwelling in the house of the Lord, the City of Peace, saved by the blood of the Lamb, the Son of David, our Good Shepherd."

"Through all of this, David doesn’t rely on his own strength or might. He knows who it is who saves. In verse 9 of chapter 4, he says, “As the Lord lives, who has redeemed me from every adversity…” He knows it has been God who has brought about his redemption every step of the way. God delivered him from the hand of Saul, even if it took ten years of running. God delivered all of Israel for David to rule over, even if it was by wrong means. God works all things for the good of those who love him."

“We’re now at the midpoint in the David story. David’s lament over Saul and Jonathan functions as a pivot: David’s lament keeps everything in the first half of the story working in the second half. Lament is the bridge from life to death to life.” -Eugene Peterson
