Alex Jeffrey Pretti should be alive tonight. His life was taken too soon by an ICE agent. At 37 years old, Alex was an ICU nurse with no criminal record and a permit to carry a legal firearm. He dedicated his life to saving others at the Minnesota Veterans Affairs. Tragically, he was murdered by ICE federal agents while protecting his community.
“He cared about people deeply, and he was very upset with what was happening in Minneapolis and throughout the United States with ICE, as millions of other people are upset. He felt that doing the protesting was a way to express, you know, his care for others,” said Alex’s father, Michael Pretti.
We stand with all who knew and loved Alex, the city of Minneapolis, and the state of Minnesota, and we demand accountability.
