GBC ~ FRIENDS and FAMILY 🙏❤️🙏
UPDATE on PASTOR OUELLETTE : 2/20
I apologize for taking so long to update…it truly has been a whirlwind since everything began and we found out that Pastor’s lung cancer had metastasized from his lung to his brain. What started out with what we thought was the flu, in December, was an operable brain tumor. He could not walk without weaving and losing his balance. He had severe headaches and vomiting. He was due to have his last scan ( from lung cancer) in February and he was so excited to be “cancer free” after 5 years. God had other plans…he NEVER makes mistakes! His surgery was the day after finding out about the brain cancer and the Surgery was a success…Praise the Lord! I also want to apologize for not answering all the calls, texts and messages about Pastor. We were and are both mentally and physically exhausted. We went to see the Dr for the radiation mapping today and The Dr said Gary is doing well but they will do another MRI to see how many radiation treatments will be needed. They said it will be a strong one. He will more than likely get all the same symptoms as the brain tumor gave him…headaches, cloudy head, loss of balance , nausea etc. His head will be fit into a mold like the pic below…he’s not allowed to move. 😳. My brother Tim had it as well he freaked out the first time cause it is stuck into the table and you can’t move. He actually yelled and got up and left. He said he couldn’t do it at first . The other times, he said he prayed ( hard!) and just slept. Be praying for Gary please! If it was me, I couldn’t do it cause I’m so claustrophobic!!! 😩 Here is what they put your head in. The mold . ( pic below) 😳.
As we face another trial , im trying to remind myself that the Lord knows and He’s in control. He sees what we do not. His labs were good after surgery and he can now function somewhat normally. Just tired but nothing like before. Thank you Jesus! He’s always been a person on the go and in church every time the doors are open, so this has been very difficult for him. He’s an active Pastor (and dad ) and so it has been hard on him and all of us to adjust - Please keep him and our family in your prayers. Pray that the Lord would intervene and work in his life. What’s two hurdles anyway, ( lung now brain cancer) when we have a God that can move mountains. Thank you to all who reached out, it is so encouraging , we are always glad that you do. Also thank you for all the meals, deserts, coffees , special treats etc… It is VERY MUCH appreciated! We love you all!!! GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!!!!!! 💕💕💕
