Worldwide Seminarian Support

Worldwide Seminarian Support Support the Catholic Church for generations to come. The ALCP Seminary in Moshi is educating men from numerous nations in Africa.

Help us to raise money for seminarians worldwide who would not otherwise have the tuition funding to become priests. There is a large influx of men hearing the calling from God to become priests in many third world nations and WSS works to raise support and help fund their education. We currently are funding seminarians in Tanzania, Nigeria, and seminarians in India.

There's a small detail in Br. Mullaiventhan's file that's easy to skim past: his home parish in Attipakkam is named for Our Lady of Good Health, the same title given to Mary at the shrine in Vailankanni, the place Pope John XXIII once called "the Lourdes of the East." That's the devotion he grew up praying under.

He entered the seminary in 2016. Minor seminary, philosophy, a regency placement, then theology starting in 2025.

His archdiocese, Pondicherry-Cuddalore, turns 250 this year. Priests have been serving that coastline since 1674. This year, more than a third of the men ordained as priests in the United States were born outside the country.

By donating through WSS, 100% of your gift goes directly to his tuition, room, and board; nothing is held back for anything else.

Here's something you can knock out this week: book a free 30-minute Financial Checkup with Notre Dame Federal Credit Union, and they'll donate $150 to Worldwide Seminarian Support on your behalf.

Tuition for one seminarian runs about $1,500 a year, so this one meeting covers 10% of it. New members and current members both qualify once a year.

Please share with all your friends! The Apostolic Life Community of Priests needs help finishing their new dormitory project, the St. John Paul II Formation House, so 40 more seminarians have a place to study and pray. We just launched a GoFundMe to help finish it: https://gofund.me/95a4e3f9a

Thanks be to God!

The St. Benedict House of Studies in Puma, Tanzania, is open! Seven seminarians started classes this month. Bishop Athanasius Schneider was there to dedicate the building. This was made possible because of the generous benefactors who gave to fund it.

Fr. Antonius Maria, the Superior General of the Missionaries of the Holy Cross, put it simply: giving a priest to Our Lord is giving Him hundreds of souls. Thank you for getting us here.

There's still more to build - help us finish it: https://seminariansupport.org/missionaries-of-the-holy-cross

Please join us in praying for the repose of the soul of Rev. Edward E. Erpelding. Today marks two months since his passing (6/1/26).

Fr. Ed was a faithful priest, a retired U.S. Navy Captain and Chaplain, and, to all of us at Worldwide Seminarian Support, a dear friend and generous benefactor. Through his steadfast support of our mission, he helped countless seminarians continue their formation for the priesthood - a legacy that will continue to bear fruit for generations.

We are deeply grateful for his friendship, encouragement, and unwavering commitment to forming future priests. Please join us in praying for Fr. Ed, his family, and all who mourn his passing.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.

May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
